  • brill song i remember from thatll be the day would love to know the artist who done those paintings

  • brill

  • The first time I heard this song I played it in a bar, just out of curiosity, and played it every time I went to the bar, after awhile the bartender got sick of it, This is one of the best videos I have seen, I love it!

  • I distinctly remember my sister, mother and myself lying on our living room floor listening to this song and mom writing the lyrics in shorthand so sis and I could learn the words. It's nice to hear and - just for a moment - be a ten year old again!

    Thank you!

  • my mom got me into this song! She played it when I was young. My future husband is 97% chereokee....she thinks its funny, because I called him teddy bear, and he calls me angel. She pick this song for us. :)

  • Woah. Totally not expecting to see one of my dad's paintings in the vid at 1:17, except she's cut out of the forest she's meant to be praying in. I remember listening to this song as a kid on the local 'oldies' station and thinking how heartbreakingly beautiful it was. I'd sit on the floor in my room imagining the story. Either that or run around pretending to be Little White Dove haha

  • @mljules Sorry your dad's lady was not in her "home" but that is how the picture was when I found it on Google. It sure does help show this beautifuly sad story with all the other images.

Looking at your channel I can see that your dad passed on his creativity to you.

Did you ever get your Little White Dove dreams???

  • @Rikkyhardo Ah that is the nature of the interwebs. I do like these romanticized images, they go well with the song and help tell the story Yes, he's a man of many talents. I don't like to limit myself to one thing, so I've got that from him. Dreams? Not quite, but that theatricality plays well for me to this day :)

  • Sounds like some of those Indian braves have been at the Jack Daniels!

  • This song actually made me cry!!! Not because of the song. I've heard it at least a hundred times or more. it's the way you put the video together and showed them meeting in the middle and going down. And then the photos with the wolves in the background. That was a special heart-tug. My best friend for 19 years was a wolf dog! He died from that damned Chinese wheat gluten that was poisoned and there was that huge food recall. It wasn't recalled fast enough for my baby!!!

  • We used to sing this at Girl Scout Camp...good memories!

  • My dad says they're stupid; they were on different sides of the river but for their tribes to fight with each other, the river would've had to be shallower some where.

  • Oh I wanna see how America turned out with indians leading it :( So sad that the world whiped them out and now there's only a few left.

  • This songs makes me think about how badly the early settlers and the US government treated the Indians. Instead of learning how to take care of the earth from the Indians who held the earth dear we wiped them out, putem on reservations and then proceeded to pollute the air land and seas and now we're in such overwhelming debt we are going to have to forclose on our nation. Peace.
