the locs are so cute. I use wild growth for the spots, but if it's really hard to grow in, I've been using this stuff called re-gro by empress and it's working.

omg amy i have had my sisterlocks for 10 years now. i dont hear many ppl talking about getting them, they usually go for the traditional locs. so its so cool to see another sista with them.

@ExcelAndBeExcellent Sisterlocks are installed differently, are much smaller and are a little more versatile than when I had traditional locks.

Hey they are in mid town now. they specialize in natural hair.. Thought that they may have done them. they were the first natural hair salon in ATL.. sorry. looks nice by the way.

@curiousnubia Yeah the installation was kinda expensive but I've been dishing out money left and right everytime I got my hair braided (micros or kinky twists) and I figured why not spend my braid money on something pemamant. When I looked at it that way, the installation fee didn't seem as much. Did you take your's out?

@Smile2DayTears2Morro I actually had mine braided 6 months in to combine them to Traditional Locs and they were doing great for about 3 months after that and I deep conditioned my hair and all the locs came loose when I rinsed out the conditioner including the SL's I thought after 9 months of locking they would be LOCKED but they weren't

@curiousnubia Yeah I was told that I don't need to use any conditioner or conditioning shampoos just yet. I was given a special sisterlock shampoo to use. I'm glad my consultant told me not to use any conditioners beforehand because I think I wouldve cried if they started unraveling :o(

@anumber12 For sisterlocks you do not need to be completely natural BUT you have to have at least 1.5 inches of natural hair to get them started and eventually your permed ends wil be cut off. Check the Sisterloc website for FAQ. It'll tell you everything you need to know :o)
