I experienced the same knowingness of everything that has expressed in his near-death experience. There are many interpretations of ways that lead us to the source. I had my experience with the use of psychedelics. I literally travelled in a holographic ship, zoomed through a wormhole and straight into the light(as unbelievable as it may sound). my human imagination couldn't construct such a thing.

Im not sure what this guy experienced...I would like to know how you became close to death. I for one, have died 6 times, I was legally dead(heart stopped beating 6 different times). I did not experience this light of which he speaks. Nevertheless, I came away from the experience with a unconditionally optimistic and open frame of mind.

God is NOT a god of vanity that He won't use a near-death experince to reveal Himself. With what you have shown in yourself; do you really think that you are the authority on true Christianity and the real teachings of Jesus?

Maybe you should use some of your new found humility to look deeper into the meaning of love for your neighbor. Accept is a big part of love and if you see Jesus as the Prince of Peace your interpretation of the Golden Rule is much too aggressive and unloving when you cannot accept other people's faith or interpretation of God. This is fundamentalism.

A TRUE Christian must go through the above steps in order to be called a TRUE Christian (a follower of Christ). I don't know how you define Christianity but there it is. It is a relationship with Jesus Christ, NOT a religion.
