I think MVP has grown a lot since the WWE released him last year. Taking Japan by storm. Maybe he might find a Japanese hottie to come back to the States with him. Japan must have saw his talents in the WWE with his trademark Ballin' Elbow. That's Vintage MVP. He should have a segment to bring back his VIP Lounge in NJPW. But the language barrier is hard to learn from him, since he is a kokujin (Afro-American). He is Blackzilla. Kokujin Gojira.
Since Kurt Angle is having problems with DUI right now, TNA should let him go and have him go to NJPW. He and MVP would be a 5 star match and a classic, Angle is the best technical wrestler in the world, but MVP shown technical which he learned from Chris Benoit.
@theking8701 This is late, but MVP braided extensions in to his hair, not too long before this match had went on because he had planned on getting his hair cut not too long after this. Which can be seen on his actual YT channel @MVP305brand. Thus hinting why they done the whole "hair cut" bit at the end of the match. As WWE would never let him cut it, since they felt the braids fit the "MVP" image.
@pkmkid84 Kurt Angle also does this too. MVP is great wrestler, his matches with Chris Benoit or Shelton Benjamin were the best. Also, he would have wrestled Eddie Guerrero if Eddie's death didn't happened the previous year before MVP debuted in WWE.
WWE has not given MVP a World Title there, also they need Great Khali, and the Usos to go and wrestle in NJPW. Khali vs Yano would be a good match, but the Punjabi star has bad legs so the advantage goes to Toru.
I honestly think MVP has the adaptability to do well in IWGP. He's shown to be willing to do stuff he would not be allowed to do in WWE. He might not be able to utilize his charisma because of language differences, but he can certainly do so with his actions.
@MegaLollygagger Exactly, but you know @DirkMantooth made a good point, he's wrestling Toru Yano... But still, things like his "Ballin" Elbow seem kind of weird in Puro.
@CMLiquid Whenever a wrestler goes somewhere new, it takes time for them to adapt to the style there. MVP will learn what it takes in Japan and what only works in America. However, it would help if he had a better opponent than Toru Yano ;)
@smallmuta Humm lol but in MVP's Youtube videos he said he got fed-up of having to wash it & having it done by the barbers, he wanted his old short look so recently in his Youtube video he got his haircut back to his old short look as he said he wanted a "start fresh".
that japanese guy copied rvd 50-54

poor match with a couple of mistakes. And that's because of Toru Yano. I'm afraid he really had a bit too much Saké before his match :p

3:50~ Triple rolling germans ftw, & afaik MVP is using a crossface variation too now.

how could they let this man go is beyond me. MVP could've been bigger than John Cena for all we know.

Do you have their match from July 18th where Tanaka attacks and challenges MVP? I'd love to see that.

@21richkid
i believe he had one shot at the wwe title back when hhh was champ on smackdown.
it was a six or eight man deal where guys like brian kendrick was in it too, but
the way it was booked, you can obviously tell hunter was going to retain since
everyone else was mid card.

@CMLiquid MVP uses the Ghetto Strongstyle!! The NJPW crowd loves him, he doesn't really need to change. It's be nice though.

@CMLiquid i think he's gotten alot better since joining njpw, his style is improving imo.
