This dude has some good tunes.. but i would not put him anywhere close to SRV or clapton.. Hes playing in Open G which is extremely easy... You literally just have to bar the frets and strum.. And with that slide it is a clasic blues tuning.. But he still has some catchy tunes.. This being the best ive heard

Hmm - I have to disagree there! Don't get me wrong, I think this is brilliant, but it's the soul and the energy, really back to basics gritty blues, that makes it what it is. Doing a bit of blues riffing on 3 strings is the easy part, it's making that come alive that takes skill!

Dude, Epiphones are sweet for this type of shit. But they're still in the mid range price wise to get a decent one, i.e. could cost you £400 (british). But I know there are some ibanez old skool sukkers that will give you this sound. The roadstar II for example. If you can find one.
