To get past it, I just leaned forward a LOT at about 15 seconds into it (depending on your flexibility, this might either hinder or help you), and worked on my grip (I use these really, REALLY old dumbells my father used to work out with, and it's like gripping sandpaper). I got a 56 sec L now. =D
nice!... what exercises shoudl i do to try and get handstand from L sits? im currently working on handstand pushups against a wall! though just got a rotator cuff tear! from plache attempts =[

You cant reach the handstand because you are raising your legs too early. You must get your hips above your head before rising your legs ;)

Thanks dude. Keep working on the handstands. HSPU and regular push-ups are good as well. Work on dips too.
