@4candles Probably microphone quality on the piano, plus the camera is close to the piano, plus the lid of the piano is open and the sound is directed right at it. Good solid performance! It's hard to make the melody sound so horizontal when it's in such large intervals you have such hard chromatics to worry about, hence why Alkan formerly called the Trois Morceaux Etudes... This is definitely Etude-like. Have you played Chasse-Niege by Liszt? That may help you with this piece. Keep it up! :)
Good to hear another performance of this piece. The piano sound is quite 'hard' though.
