  • I like all the mods except adding weight to the front. Why add weight, why not mod the battery holder to use velcro and adjust the battery slightly further forward.

  • So basically you cut 50mm off the blade and just glue on to the back?

    By the way great video

  • Thank you.I have the H853 which I am told is the same parts and I'm looking to modifie it.

  • That's why you buy E-flight! Parts are dirt cheap (3.99$) for a set of blades, & very stable flyers with no mods necessary.. You might pay a little more out the door but it's inevitable you'll save money in the end...

  • My thought on the magnets,..they will cause interference with All electronics and RC conectivity??

  • Lame ass stop with the disclaimers. How many 7yr olds are doing mods?

  • Very nice modifications man! Simple yet effective! Take care and God bless.

  • is this a newer version of the 9101

  • movw the battury forward instead of adding weight to the front. i did this by puting some velcro on the battery and moving it forward

  • i can't get the dam pin out.

  • How often do blade strikes occur? i was flying mine one day and it all of a sudden went down like a rock, i thought some nearby construction workers had shot it down with there high powered staple guns due to the fact that i heard it go off and as soon as my heli went down they started to laugh.

  • @TechnoDrop It happens to me a lot but then again I have modified the tail rotor so mine flies dramatically faster so I am unable to make sharp turns or the off balance will have the blades touch.

  • Hi,

Regarding the rear rotor mod you made. Which blade did you use to stick over the exsisting rotor blade. "A" the top one or "B" the lower main one? Does it matter which one you choose? Also, did this help with forward and reverse thrust, especially in slightly windy conditions?

    Thanks.

  • where your magnet is is where my battery is it will kill the battery could it?

  • how do you remove the balance bar?

  • @charlief1313

I had the same problem except mine would turn but it would "slip" it would take longer to start ip than the top.. This is what I did look at the large upper gear and right above it is a little screw (you might need to spin the gear to find it) then just give it a tightening up and it should work fine!

  • My lower rotor is not spinning anymore... the motor on that rotor seems to be working ok just something disconnected during a wreck and I'm having a hard time figuring out what's wrong.. The top rotor is working ok. Any ideas?

  • My friends and I are on our 4th one of these. I just ordered a new one but with a single propeller.

  • get a over correction landing gear set and put on a gyro kit

  • Great

  • should i replace my balance beam this is a reason my balance beam struck the bottom blade twice and im afraid not to fly in wind so now i dont even fly my helicopter even in the lowest amount of wind why i all of a sudden brought up wind it happen in wind when i was trying to keep flying forward and not let the wind take it away

  • Excellent Vid! Thanks!

  • this is kinda same model with ls-209? i have one ls-209, its china made.. is it the same?

  • i buy this from new york 2 for 60 usd

  • Anything what hapened to me with this helicopter.I changed the tail blades from a APC Slow Fly.I cuted every blade at 4 cm.Then i started to fly,and he flies great. But,when i gave him order to fly forward,he upped the tail to much,so the upper an lower blade chrashed.I have the lower blade mod.I fixed this problem with a smoother Fly.It work well, but suddenly ther came smoke aut of the (Kanzel)

    Fazit,Platine is burned away!!

  • Great video, Very well done

  • you should check out the double horse 9100, there is a seller selling them for $41.00......amazing helicopter...best I have ever had....super fast too.....outside helicopter

  • why would you put a magnet close to the battery????

  • i got mine for £49.99 so far some little bitcha that lives by mine kicked it while i wasnt looking and broke it, i felt like killing her lol i recently brought another and waiting to pick it up today so hopefully it will work fine. but do you have to charge befor use. reply soon please thanks :)

  • these are great starter helicopters, twin rotors versa, a single rotor with a tail rotor. You don't have to deal with the long learning curve ,due to the tail rotor compensating for the rotor torque, which believe it or not is pretty difficult for first timer's.So learn on a twin, then try your skills on a single.

  • question can i use a samsung 1100 mah 7.4v with my original 7.4v 1300 mah polimor battery to make a 2400 mah upgraded battery this is a custom job, my question again can this be done with a burn out of the main board or over heating ..

  • 70€ for this heli

  • Hi, I have purchased 9053 from Malaysia and modified exactly the way u explain. It's help me lot... I'll do my first trial run with modification tomorrow... Thank you so much for ur contribution... Regards

  • Das Video is Zeitverschwendung

  • i buy one 3 days ago in a mall for 200 -_- o well time to mod it cause is really hard to fly this with a little wind

  • The balance bar for DoubleHorse 9077 can also be purchased at Xenonprojects and they are great...they have a motion-activated color-changing LED on one weight that turns the blades into a light show!!!!

  • Your backrotor modification is really nice, but why you dont use 2 original back rotors and mount them like a cross and use a 15 mm longer screw. at me it works fine. cya

  • were did you buy this item please let me now thank

  • very nice mod i will follow ur idea man.

  • SPENT ALL THAT CASH AND IT DIDN'T FLY !

  • i also found the problem ,the blades somthimes wil not go round even , i checked it on higspeed cam ,, because they are not going in a spin the same time the metal bar spins ,, it brakes a milisec and that causes the hit on the metal weigth , and hits the next spining plade below ,, and locks both motors ,and drops , the bar hits it because of the space below and the blade is not covering it , when turning ,they bend back but blades bend more , when giving more speed they wil stay straight

  • nice stuff ,, i mod mine heli ,i take of the metal stabeliser and cut them on both side's the same way , and put shrink tube on it , it wil be flexible ,and in air it gives more brake jump when you move , test it it works great , also on the smal ones ,the brake fast , greatings

  • how did the mod on the tail rotor work? and post a video of it please, i am interested in seeing how you did that. i believe that if it did work that it would help with the much needed power in the rear of this heli.

  • HELLO EVERY ONE I HAVE A QUESTION...

CAN I ATTACH A FLIP VIDEO CAMARA TO THIS HELICOPTER TO SHOOT VIDEO????

  • @chuchoteclas

No! It will completely ruin your controllability!! It's too heavy!! I've had great luck with the 909 key-chain camera. It costs about $17 dollars if you want to wait for 10 days. Mine fell out from about 30 ft., broke into 6 pcs. Piecing it back together I found it still worked...&&& the vibration from the motor was gone from the video. It actually worked better than when it was new!! So I suggest taking that camera apart and unglue it from the casing to reduce vibration.

  • you can get that flybar at xenonproject(dotcom) for $8 right now and the collars...look under their parts section for the Double Horse model 9077....thinkrc(dotcom) is also a great place for good prices for SYMA and Double Horse products and parts and they ship fast!!!!

  • Jason,

Why not just shift the battery forward for better CG balance instead of gluing weight on?

Why not two small sheet metal screws for each tail rotor blade and adhesive?

How can you use two motors for the tail rotor? I'm confused about that part!

Great idea of using the model 9077 flybar...ordered one today...cost $8 but at least they have them in stock as well as the attachment collars.

  • will never fly.

  • thanks alot buddy you gave me some dang good idea for mine great video

  • before gluing scuff surface for maximum adherence.

  • How is the replacement of the rear rotor motors with two n20pn motors going? Any luck with that and if so, how much addition thrust we you able to get ??

  • I need help finding that n20pn motor on YouTube.I have one and I'm trying to make a few modifications myself.I favorited you video and subscribed!!! Please reply!!!

  • how you take that pin off which is on the balance bar ?

  • tap tap tap .....tap tap tap ....

  • VOLITATION 9 053 by MeScHiO video prova modifiche...

Visitate il mio CANALE : )

  • Found the perfect weight for the front of my 9053. Superglue a Nickel to the battery pack in the opening under the copter just forward of the main frame on the battery pack.

My 9053 now hovers completely motionless with no rear drift on takeoff or hover.

  • The lowering of the bottom rotor seems good, but what about the chance of it now hitting the canopy?. Seems very close tolerance to me.

  • Great video! Could you give me a link to the place where I can get the shorter fly bar and the linkage pieces for that? Thanks!

  • Este Helicoptero es muy malo comprate otro, tengo 3 y este fue un fraude.

  • How heavy was the magnet you added to the front?

  • Is there a way to extend fight time? I'm thinking of getting one of these. Your pretty happy with it?

  • I have replaced the balance bar with one from a 9077, this is smaller and flexible. The other main thing I have done is to make 2 top blades from aluminium. I cut 2 strips from an alloy sheet and cut them to a rough shape using a plastic blade as a template. I then used a linisher( a file would do) to get them to the correct shape. I then put in a vice and gently bent them to a curved shape( to create the lift) as per the plastic blades using a rubber mallet.

  • Great Post...thanks for taking the time. My only question is why so people, including myself, spend $50 on a toy and then try to convert it to a real hobby helicopter than spending a $100 or more on a real hobby helicopter?

  • @m0stinc in most cases its cheaper.

i bought the walkera v400d02 (150$) and replaced the brushed motors for brushless instead of buying a 300$ version of the same thing.

  • What model balance bar are you using. Having trouble finding it on xhelli.com. Thanks

  • l got one 2 days ago it no good out of the box it will only fly up and down and very slow forwards KEEP YOUER MONEY

  • QUESTION : if i am buying a more powerful battery such as a 7.4V 2200MAH RC Receiver Lipo Battery Sanwa Futaba BEC. would i need to buy a different charger? PLEASE HELP!!

  • Hey I was just thinking, instead of the super glue. Maybe contact cement will be better? just an idea that came up. Only thing is that you will have to be dead on when installing the part because it wont come off after that. No room for error. again just an idea. : )

  • ". . . you definitely want to go to the Internet to get one of these." EXACTLY!

  • i cut a newly tail rotor blades and tried super glue, and 3m double sided tape. neither one worked. both failed after a few flights. ima try apoxy. if this doesnt work i think is best to leave it alone.

  • @eroman727 try hot glue or cement

  • @jasonus03 i used loctite super glue on mine and it works fantastic, i've been flying mine daily for a month and have had no problems at all.

  • @eroman727 I got the rotor blade from a double horse 9101 which is significantly bigger then the Volitation's. I can now fly in wind and it flies DRAMATICALLY faster. I will be posting a video with in the next week of it. The only down fall of the modification is that you have to relearn how to fly because it is made with the blades the opposite way so to go forward you have to push down not up. Also purchase the 9101's tail fins as the other one wont fit the larger rotor blade.

  • I cannot hover my volitation heli without it veering to the left. Can you help me.

  • nice explanitory video, i will use this in conjunction with a few other good ones and mod my volitation.

    cheers

  • Hay man nice nice video can u please type in the website where u bought it, and be nice if showed a demo on you take the blade shaft apart THANK you the man

  • I did the mod where you flip the main rotor holder thing up side down then flip the blades so they are right side up like you did and I got that tip from you thank you it helps the stability so much ! great vid!

  • When adhering the newly cut tail rotor blades, be sure to use a better adhesive than super glue. I've already had issues with this recently. Hot glue would likely work better.

  • @jasonus03 Also screws are differnt lenghs, look close i discovered hard way, lol, hey bud where can i get screws for 9053(spares), x-heli? You know anywhere? Thanks, by way im missing bearing in upper shaft for up. blades, and my heli wont lift, would that do it? and do you know what it means when red and blue lite blinks on elec. board, thanks man!
