Such a shame really. A brilliant young actor, one of the select few who can just bury himself into a role and become the character he plays. I will admit, Ledger did an amazing job in this movie. I was a little reluctant to see it, as I hadn't liked him too much in some of his other roles, but he pulled it off brilliantly. The only thing I can say is that it's my second favorite performance of the Joker. I still consider Mark Hammil's performances in the 90's animated series to be the iconic Joker and I haven't seen anything to top that (and yes, I have seen the old Adam West series/movies, so I'm not just talking about Nicholson).

Unfortunately the fact that Heath is death can't be undone, it's true, and the Joker he made is "His Joker" just like you said and no one will ever replace him. But there IS going to be a third movie, I think that it will have the joker because it would be very logic, but don't worry, for what I know, the Joker will be made with archive footage, which means, computer, they might have an actor for reference and fit the spaces with computer. It won't be the same, but is the best that can be done.

The joker in the comics and the one in the TDK is actually quite different.There are some similaritys though.I love the comic joker but TDK is so much better to me.
The Truth of the matter is this: No one, Not Johnny Depp (although he'd come close I'd think) or anyone else, can or I think ever will take on this amazing role. I think everyone who is a fan of the reboot Batman series loves the movies but ultamatly realizes that they will not continue to do them. I'd like to see it happen but I don't know if it ever will. that would have been awesome. maybe when they got done with the batman trilogy made a joker origin movie that showed his origins and what he was up to during batman begins and end it right before the bank robbery.

there will be a third batman, the dark knight made a TON of money so there will be a sequel, it's just not certian wether chris nolan will do it or not.

I will admit, Ledger did an amazing job in this movie. I was a little reluctant to see it, as I hadn't liked him too much in some of his other roles, but he pulled it off brilliantly. The only thing I can say is that it's my second favorite performance of the Joker. I still consider Mark Hammil's performances in the 90's animated series to be the iconic Joker and I haven't seen anything to top that (and yes, I have seen the old Adam West series/movies, so I'm not just talking about Nicholson).

heath rest is peace man ur awesome and the only actor out there that coulda pulled off what u did. to me heath did this role so well that i dont think they should make another batman movie with the joker in it cuz know one could pull it off like heath and then it would just be dissapointing to me. the same vibe and feeling wouldnt be there thats why there should only be one batman movie with the joker in it staring heath ledger. Unfortunately the fact that Heath is death can't be undone, it's true, and the Joker he made is "His Joker" just like you said and no one will ever replace him. But there IS going to be a third movie, I think that it will have the joker because it would be very logic, but don't worry, for what I know, the Joker will be made with archive footage, which means, computer, they might have an actor for reference and fit the spaces with computer. It won't be the same, but is the best that can be done.

Shorty, I understand your feelings for the Joker He's one of my favorite charaters of all time. when I was growing up joker was all over my room when i was a kid. But I think there should be another batman movie with the joker in it. True it wont be the same but if they make a replacement joker It would keep heath ledger's Joker alive to all. and thats what he'll like.. to see his joker live on forever.. Which hopefully it will. Cause after this joker. i dont think any other will beat him.

Actually, i'm not sure if it is true, but I have heard that in the third Batman film Jonny Depp is going to play the Riddler, I hope this is true, as Heath Ledger did such an amazing job as the Joker and no one could ever top that performance. Jonny Depp would make a great Riddler aswell. R.I.P Heath <3

Why?Why did he have to die?It's so unfair and he didn't even see the moive himself.He never got to experience all the praise from fans all over the world and to see how great he really was in that role.
The joker in the comics and the one in the TDK is actually quite different.There are some similaritys though.I love the comic joker but TDK is so much better to me.

The Truth of the matter is this: No one, Not Johnny Depp (although he'd come close I'd think) or anyone else, can or I think ever will take on this amazing role. I think everyone who is a fan of the reboot Batman series loves the movies but ultamatly realizes that they will not continue to do them. I'd like to see it happen but I don't know if it ever will. Too bad, cuz I'd like to see Christopher Nolan tackle Mr. Freeze and give him a proper chance to kick ass!

i very much agree. more than any other villian, however, i think i'm most excited to see the riddler. i think they'll at least attempt to keep them going, but i dunno who they would have as the joker. i heard a rumor about maybe daniel day-lewis taking on the role, but it was nothing more than a rumor.
