@welshdragon182 im a huge ramones fan, ive read dee dee's auto biography and ive heard every song, they didnt single handedly start it off bro, they had help sex pistols, the clash, the were friends with the ramones. and it took time for ramones to even get popular, 6 people showed up to their first gig at cbgb's and the record company just toyed with them. they only really got popular thru the mid 80's, not the mid 70's when they got together

@welshdragon182 I've heard Joe say that The Ramones first album sort of set off the idea that anyone could start a band! Joe looked up to Woody Guthrie & Elvis too,but that doesn't make him a folk or rock n roll musician! As I've said mate,I LOVE The Ramones,but I'd say that they &The NYDs & MC5 are very good garage bands! Sex Pistols were just clotheshangers! The Clash,in my opinion, were the first band to have what I consider true Punk ethos!! Cheers mate! Have a great weekend!!

@welshdragon182 Nah,I was born in Ireland,but moved to the West Country 2 months before I was 2 years old mate! I've lived in Swansea/Abertawe a couple of times though,and met a lot of people there that are still good friends! I lived in Swansea for 9 months from 2003-2004,then came back to Bristol for about 6 months,then back to Swansea again! The address where I lived was 200 Oystermouth Road! LOL!! Jello signed up my friend's band,The Amebix, after we went to see The Dead Kennedy's in Bristol & they came back to our squat afterwards & he signed them to his Alternative Tentacles label.The DKs have real,righteous punk ethics in my opinion.I love Crass,I love Inner Terrestrials,Locust Abortion Technique + many others.Very Punk,Very great Punk lyrics!The Amebix reformed about 2 years ago after breaking up in 1987,they formed in 1978! The he got into a fight with Joe, my dad told him to go to hell, so he wrote straight to hell. Then my dad went back in time, and shot a gun in brixton, so paul wrote guns of brixton in his honor
