Tata Motors of India, in conjuction with the French, have developed a compressed air driven vehicle that is scheduled to begin delivery this summer. As a dentist I use compressed air driven handpieces but the compressor, of course, is run by electricity. The electricity here in Sparks, Nevada .... well I'm not quite sure how it is produced. Coal I presume.

People are doing the research, but it's tricky problem.

Why isn't the prize being awarded within the field of Hydro-Assist technology? It would make gas free which would kill big oil. It would almost completely remove the need for batteries in the first place. And there already exists a grass root Hydro-Assist community.

This battery competition seems like another bad game in the wrong field.

Obama said 5 years, just so you know, and another 5 to pay for the new rigs and refineries before we see any influence at the pump, by then, the price reduction will just allow the pump price to stay the same for a few weeks. Using ethanol more readily addresses the problem
