We exist to be on the top of the food chain. The problem is, our brain evolved so much in a long time that we now have to create new reasons why we exists. Do other animals ask why they exist? Do other animals commit sin? Humanity just made everything complicated. Why can't we just go out in the jungle, build ourselves a hut and start hunting wild animals and plant wild veggies. That's the very main reason why we exists in the first place. We've known this fact since primary school.

My Theory: We are here to witness the existence of life and everything it has to offer. What reason would anything need to exist without something to witness it's existence? Why does love or hate exist? Why does saturn have rings, Why are flowers different colors? I think existence is for us to bare witness to it all. To know of life's existence, to see beauty, to feel emotion. This also explains why humans are mortal. To truly appreciate anything it can't last.
