  • There is no "wrong form". Wing Chun is a system made from principals. Leung Ting or William Cheung or whichever master doesnt have a "wrong form",whoever told you that is lying to you. There are only "different" forms,or different principals, there are no wrong ones. Wing Chun is a system, you learn the form, you even change it to suit you in time and then you become the "system" You are free from forms, you become Wing Chun.

  • Yip Man Wing Chun has 2 approaches to Wing Chun. The pure centerline and triangular theory. Therefore there are 2 types of practices from his lineage. To know more, read the blog on my profile. Btw, Wang Kiu looks really good.

  • @waaza0

    No,

We are not the Association. They follow the Wong Shun Leung lineage.

We are from the Wang Kiu Foundation, which Sifu Wang Kiu founded himself in 2006.

  • Nice video, thanks for uploading!

  • I have a question to professionals. I live in Holland where the only official wing chun assocation is in Wong Kiu lineage. Now my question is; how do I know whether I'm really learning an effective form/style of this martial art that will proof to be worthy? It is very difficult. I hear that many lineages, like Leung Ting and Cheung Cheuk Hing, taught a wrong form.

    Anybody, tell me. Please.

  • Hello,

It's difficult to tell. The only proof will be your own experience when you learned with different lineages. Anyone can tell you they are the best. We don't believe in the best. We just teach what we have been taught. No more no less.

If you want to know how effective a lineage is, just drop by to see/chat a little with the people.

You are welcome to the Wang Kiu Foundation any time. But feel free to visit all Wing Chun schools. They all should welcome you with this question!

  • @wangkiu Hello and thank you and anyone associated with these videos. Real information is here on these videos. Also if you can may you please tell me anything about a sigong named woo fai ching who studied under leung sheung lineage please this would really help thank you again!

  • @FearThisChannel - Good Wing Chun always had good rooting skills. Rush into the opponent when doing chi sau. If he/she falls back from your rushing in, they are not good. If he/she neutralizes you on the spot without moving an inch or bending back even a little bit, then they are good. That is how you tell. Try this on MOST Leung Ting WT people and see what I mean. They will almost always fall back and rely on their flashy fast hands...which won't save them from falling or getting knocked out.

  • @FearThisChannel

Wing Chun is a fighting system based on CONCEPTS and NOT forms. The forms of different schools are not right or wrong. As long as the CONCEPTS are taught properly then the lineage is unimportant. Master Wong Kiu is a highly respected master of Wing Chun who learnt DIRECTLY from Ip Man and his school is very respectable - and although different from my lineage this video shows me he knows EXACTLY what he is talking about.

  • @FearThisChannel Now my question is; how do I know whether I'm really learning an effective form/style of this martial art that will proof to be worthy?

What is the fighting / real life application history of the teacher? OR Have you seen them use it in combat (ring or real life)? That will tell you how effective it is.

  • @FearThisChannel

  • @FearThisChannel Go out and fight people is the short answer. Barring that, maybe you could cross hands with other martial artists. The forms themselves are nonsense anyway. The forms dont have to be pretty, they are designed to teach you about your body and your body's responses. Beyond that, a good teacher would have his own ideas concerning what the applications are. And in my experience, no two teachers have the same applications.

  • I'd luv to Wang Kui

  • Nice. Want to see what I have learned in the Wang Kiu lineage? Go to my videos.

  • thanks for posting

  • Respects RIP

  • he speaks very softly and elegantly...I would love to see more videos by him. he will be missed. rip.

  • Aww, sigh..another great one will be missed.

I've been scouring the internet for the first generation of Yip Man's students (I'm WSL line under Sifu Gary Lam). The seminar that he gave with SiPak Hawkins Cheung was great..found it on googlesearch. Please post more if there are any available. He was so humble and private, yet a great adventurer and traveller. A kindred Spirit! R.I.P.
