Yes on 8 forces your version of religion on everyone -- including churches that believe in extending marriages to same sex couples.
The SF trip was with parental permission, organized by the parents. Do you want to take away a parents rights then?
You can't have it both ways -- crying about parental rights while wanting to remove parental rights from others.
The creators of Prop 8 have already publicly state they will use it to overturn civil unions.

Within one mile of where I live there are two churches with a gay congregation. There are three more that support gays.
One of the gay churches had to expand to two services on Sunday to handle the growing number of gay people attending church.
