  • Symphonia In Hd pro Ps3 and XBox NOW :@

  • this is my favorite game....

  • Man! I've gotta go to play my Symphonia

  • Mithos: (in sadistic voice) Bye-Bye.....Judgement! Whole team dies.

  • i love this music

  • goddamn the tales music has the best soundtracks ever

  • menudo juegazo cojones el mejor de gamecube

  • "Feel the pain...Of those inferior beings...As you burn in hell, Kvar!"

  • @Killins100 LOL

Its an obscure reference that ppl who havent played this wont get

  • Oh too bad!Me I kill mithos in 2 times 3 moves!That was a peace of cake!

  • Oh fuck when i played in Maniac Mithos used indignation judgement...he kill instantly all my team: Lloyd (myself) Zelos (my younger brother) and Sheena(my cousin)....the only survivor was Raine and because she was far away healing and boost my stats! lol

  • this game was awesome. and tales o.S. 2 was utter garbage!!

  • Prefer Final Battle of Vesperia :) ( 3rd Form )

  • doing the 10 exp game hes almost dead i see him casting a spell and i rush in to deal the final blow he puts his hand up and a giant sword comes down on all my characters mithos: SCATTER! me: FUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

  • thumbs up if you think dawn of the new world isnt as epic as tales of symphonia 1

  • *first encounter and battle with Yggdrasill"

Me: another boss, another win :)

*End the battle : current time: 00:15:04 sec

    " O__O ....... did i win?!

  • Dats not the final battle theme! D: But its still awesome!

  • every time i hear this music, i always think " damn that bastard".

  • DISAPEAR!!!! (>-.-)>#######

  • JUDGEMENT!!!

  • No...i can not loose.......I'm going home, I'm going home with my Sister...

  • i wanna send an email to namco or whoever made this game to make more stories of this game :D

Thumbs up if you wanna do that!!

  • Yggdrasill: Why can you not accept the ideal world that I have envisioned?!

Lloyd: How can your world be ideal when you've killed countless innocent people?!

Yggdrasill: Human, don't tell me what's right and wrong!

    ...The Epicness!!!

  • Great song, but not the final boss theme. ;-)

  • Does anyone know the name of this song please and thank you :)

  • @epictechnichain "i can waiver and fight"

  • @gmaster89 Thanks!

  • This isn't the true final boss theme, it's only the first form theme. Second form has different theme

  • Final Boss theme? I'm pretty sure Yggdrasil has two forms and this is the music for the first form, so technically this isn't the final boss theme, only part 1 if anything. =P

  • My name is Yggdrasil and I will destroy your world

  • RETRIBUTION!

    ... fuck

  • Mithos: why you cannot accept the ideal world i have envisioned

Lloyd: how i cannot accept your world when you kill countless inocent people!

Mithos: Human. don't tell me what´s right and wrong!

My fav quote in the game :)

  • Mithos and his sister clicked the dislike button.XD

  • @KillerZoeh Why would Mythos dislike his own epic theme? XD

  • @Archimonde259 Think about it, if Mithos KNEW he loses the battle, then he'd have plentyful reason to dislike.

After all, you'd rather not listen to a theme that reminded you how badly you failed at some point in the game.

No matter how epic it is!XD

  • has anyone else noticed how tall Mithos is? no one in that game is that tall (except mabye that first boss when Kratos joined, but he was fat too).

  • My team 4 OWNING MITHOS:

    1.Lloyd (Me)

    2.Genis (My Sister)

    3.Kratos (My sister's friend)

    4. Raine (My sister's friend)

  • he was so much ways of easy

  • love the picture and love the song! Cant wait to play this game! XD

  • hey man this is just Yggdrasil's theme, "It Can Waver and Fight." it also plays during Mithos's first form in the last battle. The real final boss theme is "Final Destination."

  • @StayFreebr007 considering that Mithos's final form was not even half as hard a fight as his first form, this music will always be the real final boss theme for me!

  • @Korraganitar Barring the first encounter, his SECOND form is the hardest. His third form is a pansy though.

  • @AirshipCanon2 I was refering to this fight only.... and this fight only has two stages.... so how is what we said different?

  • @AirshipCanon2 I was referring to the final fight at the end of the game anyway, so how is what we said different?

  • i reached to the toer of salvation and: Me:ok remiel i'm gonna kill you!! later..

    Me: you're so weak

kratos: you still think you can defeat me?! later...

    Lloyd: time to finish this!!!

    yggdrasil: you pathetic being..

Me: wow, yggdrasill, well i'm gonna kick your ass!! "5 sec later"

    Me: 0_o holy sh$%!!,............ -_- damn it....

  • @pauldiamont95 That would be a normal boss, followed by my favorite kind of boss, and then followed by the kind of boss I hate the most. My favorite bosses are the ones which even if you grind and have the best equipment available, you could still lose at any time but it's possible to win, because they are intense. My worst bosses are the ones that you can't beat, especially the first time when you can't tell the difference and you end up using a whole bunch of useful items trying to beat them.

  • @immortalfrieza haha yes

  • My dream for a world for my sister and me...~Mithos

  • I just searched "Tales of Symphonia final boss theme" and the search results never told me its name.

  • This one along with Lavos' theme in Chrono Trigger are the best final boss themes ever

  • i think he was too easy for a final boss XD i solo'ed him with Lloyd on mania mode without Nebilim

  • Goodbye..............................Mithos

  • @Scoodlz "How can your world be ideal when you have killed countless innocent people?"

  • Mithos: My sister means everything to me. None of you understands how I feel.

Lloyd: You're the one that doesn't understand! Ha, strike, swords rain, tiger rage, raging beast!

    Mithos: Pathetic, judgement!

  • This is the most epic songs of all time!!!!!

  • There's nothing anyone can do...!

  • the tales of games are simply sublime.

  • thumbs up if you think they should make a Tales of Symphonia Prequel with Mithos, Martel, Yuan and Kratos during the Kharlan War

  • @raigekimaru I suppose, it worked for Kingdom Hearts and i would like to know how Mithos became a poster boy for childish unstable fuck-ups.

  • @raigekimaru Interesting idea, but unless you hadn't already played Tales of Symphonia, you'd pretty much already know what was going to happen, and it would place constraints on the story that the Tales writers could tell, which would be a major problem for a series that focuses on telling excellent stories.

  • @immortalfrieza

yeah I know. it would just be like Star Wars =)

  • @raigekimaru Great example.

  • @raigekimaru I'd much prefer a sequel when they're adults just because I like afterstory but damn... Any Symphonia game would be good. Some people say the second game isn't as good but I loved it too. The co-op was much better there because camera angles always kept all players on the screen. In the first game it only followed Llyod/Player1 which made it totally boring for others.

  • @raigekimaru even if they do make one it will most likely suck like DotNW.....i hate that game....

  • @e2slayer Hey, DotNW didn't really suck that bad. Don't understand the hate for that game really, I liked it, and I played the origonal first. Also, Symphonia is a prequel in itself. It's a prequel for the first tales of game, Tales of Phantasia.

  • @raigekimaru

On the 3DS. If that happened, I'd joygasm quite hard.

  • @raigekimaru I would love that so much. It would be a sad ending too (because we know Mithos basically eventually goes nuts), which would be interesting given how happy-happy jRPGs can be sometimes.

  • @raigekimaru dude I've been wanting that to happen for a long time lol.

  • @raigekimaru been toying with the idea of making a prequel for a while, albeit rith RPG maker (quite crude) using the sprite sets from narikiri dungeon 3. i'm a little stuck on a storyline though, so i'm willing to collaberate with anyone

  • @raigekimaru there is one, its called tales of phantasia, everyone seems to think it takes place 4000 years AFTER symphonia though, its actually whats going on during the ancient war

  • @MrSamus101

Because there's a giant tree in Phantasia. You know, just like the one at the end of ToS. And it's named Yggdrasil. I'd say that's pretty compelling evidence that ToS is the prequel.

  • @Snacks256 you obviously didnt read the entire conversation i had with cloudropis about this

  • @Snacks256

hmmm i don't know. i'm not catholic. but did you know tha they named the tree yggdrasill just like in caholic religion?

  • @ChaosXDarkness

I just said that. But the name is from Norse mythology.

  • @Snacks256

hmmm Norse mythology....does it applies to catholic religion?

  • @ChaosXDarkness Yggdrasil is the world tree that unites the many worlds of the universe in Norse (Viking/ Scandinavian) Mythology. It has nothing to do with Catholicism for any sect of Christianity.

The Church of Martel has more in common with the Greek Orthodox Church when you analyse the architecture of the churches in the game. The Pope is lifted from the Catholic Church, but aside from that, the similarities between Christianity and the Church of Martel are superficial at best.

  • @clovernoris

    Jesus man spoilers.

  • @IamConar That spoiled something?

  • @clovernoris

    The trees name. shhhh lol

  • @Scoodlz its : why can you not accept the ideal world that i have in vision?

  • "My sister means everything to me... I won't let anyone get in my way.

I'll revert this entire world back to nothingness....."

    INDIGNATION JUDGEMENT!!

  • "My sister means everything to me... I won't let anyone get in my way.

I'll revert this entire world back to nothingness....."

    INDIGNATION JUDGEMENT!!

  • Human, do not tell me what is right and wrong. FIGHT

Mithos was one of the most missunderstood villians there has ever been. and personally he's one of the best.

  • "I just wanted a world for my sister and me, I don't regret my choice, I would choose it all over again if I had the choice."

  • I can only imagine how old Mithos is!

  • @TailosThe3 he's 4000...

  • @meepfeet Well... 4000-ish, The War was 4000 years ago... He wasn't born and then instantly end the war... His physical appearance is only 14. The wiki lists his age as 4000+ so I just guess around 4014 maybe?

  • the final boss is a joke! Like in most RPG's the hardest boss can be found in some form of battle arena. In this game, the hardest battle is defo the one against those four guys in Meltokio Battle Arena

  • @KuriousJoe1 did you ever fight abyssion those four compared to him is the real joke actually any other boss in that game compared to him is a joke

  • @kyo1546 No I didn't but am now in the process of obtaining those cursed items, so soon I will have battled against Abyssion :)

  • @KuriousJoe1 lol yeah you may get really frustrated remember unison attacks are your friend i personally didnt realize how good they were until i'd died against him like 6 times i think i beat him when i was about level 70 but good luck

  • @KuriousJoe1 nah, the hardest is defintly that black arm devil boss.

  • @KuriousJoe1

The hardest boss in Tales of Symphonia hands down especially in Mania Mode is Abyssion.

  • Comment removed

  • @KuriousJoe1 I disagree, if you rush through the without leveling, he can still kick your ass up and down the street, he can own in final form.

  • Holy Lance!!

  • The game rocks but the endfight isn´t that hard if you have luck with your computer pals^^

  • love ths game

  • I'm surprised no one commented on the fact that Mithos Yggdrasil was such an interesting Villain because he wasn't necessarily evil, He was the Hero of the Karlan War. He simply wanted to end discrimination. He just went about it differently.

Also, the fact that he appears to you first as a seemingly older, more mature angel, you assume he is mature in his desires. Instead, the fact that he is still a child almost creates pity. a little boy afraid to lose his sister. Interesting villain indeed.

  • @chibisuke580 the same thing with Duke in Tales of Vesperia

  • @chibisuke580 Perfect explanation of Yggdrassil and his motivations.

  • @chibisuke580 Perfect explanation of Yggdrasil.

In my opinion, he is the foil to Lloyd. They want the exact same thing, and Lloyd's striving to become exactly like him. Lloyd and Mithos were both optimistic people trying to save the world, Lloyd obtained Origin's sword, Lloyd obtained the eight summon spirits, Lloyd travelled on almost the same identical quest as Mithos originally. And at the end of the game, they both achieved god-like status.

It brings a sense of realism to the game.

  • @G102Y5568

And in the second game he apparently become a fallen game like Yggdrasil. Haven't played it though, just the first.

  • @chibisuke580 Everyone always strives in RPGs to become the god-like character who can control everything and save the world. Someone has already achieved that, and realized the only way to save the world is to ruin it completely. That really hits home.

  • @chibisuke580 another reason why i fucken LOVE this game and miss it so :'(

  • @chibisuke580 Cool story, bro.

  • @chibisuke580 Never heard anything more true

  • @chibisuke580 I don't consider Mithos Yggdrassil a villain at all. Why? Because a villain is an opposing uncaring monster, an antihero, someone whose motivations you can't understand, who does things you can't even begin to relate to. The Joker, Pyramid Head, HAL, these are villains. Mithos Yggdrassil is the exact opposite. He is a hero who everyone understands, everyone relates to, who shows his true emotional side and makes you want to save him rather than destroy him at the end.

  • @G102Y5568 Damn, well said indeed. I gotta say that in a world where intelligence is scarce, you seem to be in quite a surplus. That comment made my day!

  • @chibisuke580 If you want to keep in touch I can give you my AIM, Skype, or whatever.

  • @G102Y5568 id have to agree that Mithos didnt start out as a villain, and even at the end may have good motives at his core, however, what he does is pretty villainous; create a race of lifeless beings, perpetuatre a cycle of destruction, manipulate entire worlds... none of these acts can be called heroic.

  • @Korraganitar At best, i'd say Mithos is a fallen hero, much in the way that Darth Vader or Lucifer are; beings who started out as great heroes but who, through some flaw or happening fell to become great villains. Mithos is at best simply the antagonist, the players adversary. At worst hes a tragic villain, one who is doing all the wrong things for innocent reasons... one who i can't help but pity. I know i would be a little crazy is i lost my sister too!

  • @Korraganitar At best, i'd say Mithos is a fallen hero, much in the way that Darth Vader or Lucifer are; beings who started out as great heroes but who, through some flaw or happening fell to become great villains. At best hes just the antagonist, at worst a tragi villain... i still feel sad inside when i beat him and his last word is "Martel..." dammit!

  • @chibisuke580

I disagree, Mithos is the ironic picture of the true nature of evil. evil is the result when good intentions are twisted by weakness and suffering. that is why Mithos is represented as a blond haired, blue eyed pretty boy angel with an idealistic temperament. the main difference between Mithos and Lloyd is; Mithos is weak. not physically weak, but emotionally weak. The truth is we probably don't see the whole picture of what shaped Mithos into this twisted mentality.

  • @chibisuke580

this weakness should not suggest that I do not pity him, it is just an illustration that the bad guys in real life are not are all tall, dark, bass voiced old men with booming laughs. what Mithos really needs is a hug and someone to say "I love you" or "I accept you" he has no strength because he has no one to understand him or emotionally support him.

PS: to amend my previous point, evil is *usually* caused by twisted good intentions,

  • @raigekimaru hmmm you certainly have a point there. Indeed another thing that makes Mithos such an interesting protagonist is that he has a very clear weak point. Most villains try to hide their weak points, But Mithos' is in plain sight.

huh...very interesting. I hadn't really thought about the contrast between Lloyd and Mithos in that context before...and it proved to be rather enlightening. Thank you

  • @chibisuke580

Lloyd is unable to understand Mithos tho because he has always been strong. "is it a sin to be weak hearted?" "sometimes running away is the only way to save yourself, humans are so arrogant" Mithos is still that little 12 year old boy who never grew up

  • @raigekimaru Hmm...well said indeed. So much to analyze in one game. That just goes to show how awesome it is

  • @chibisuke580

he is kinda like the final boss of fallout 1, except he's much more likable (since he's a lot less ugly)

  • @Kamfrenchie I'm not seeing the comparison here.

The player character: Hey Master, did you know your mutants can't have babies no matter how much they have sex?

The Master: Wait WHAT? THEN I MUST DIE.

God knows how they'd do that anyway. You can't tell which are female...

  • @DGneoseeker1

Come on he's a great villain. Plus you need to have high dialogue skills for that. And He does it to end wars aswell. lus he set up all tha orgaisation.

Bu yes the best way to en the game is by fighting him.

  • @Kamfrenchie Oh I just meant I'm not sure I get the comparison between a mutated flesh blob/computer cyborg and a kid angel with magic powers.

  • @DGneoseeker1

well Mithos wanted to turn everyone in "angels".

Th master wanted to turn evryon into mutants.

They both thought the angels/mutants were superior beings didn't they?

  • @Kamfrenchie

Hmm. Fair enough then. I never did complete TOS so I'm working from youtube videos only... The game is sooo damn long.

  • @DGneoseeker1

ow, didn't meant to spoil you, but yeah it's pretty damn long, even if it's pretty good too. That's why I only played it once.

  • @Kamfrenchie i think i have beat the game 8 times now XD

  • @chibisuke580 Yeah, this game was amazing...

  • @chibisuke580 You're right, that's what I liked about it. Even though he was the antagonist, the story line does make you have sympathy for him. This tells actually that (at least what I believe) there is no real evil (also not in the real world). Even though people don't have your interests at heart, they all have their own reasons and all try to do the good thing from their point of view. Now at the end of the game you see that Mithos loses track of everything, which makes you able to fight hm

  • @chibisuke580 THANK YOU! :D one of the most interesting villains of all time in my opinion because his ideals weren't just black and white. you would really have to put yourself in his position to understand why he did the things that he did..

  • @chibisuke580 Poor Mithos....I hope the gods have mercy on him. Long term sadness can send even the best of heroes down the wrong path....Mithos is one good example. The Spiral King from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is another example.

  • @chibisuke580 youre soooo right man . i thought i was the only one thinking like that 0_0

  • @chibisuke580 I hate the Yggdrassils, and I hate that Lloyd glorifies them so much, Mithos was a useless shit that used discrimination as an excuse to take countless lives for the sake of the rotting corpse of his idiotic sister and Martel is a failure of warrior that got herself killed the stupidest way she could and then decided to take on the role of a Summon Spirit despite her obvious limitations.

Many half-elves, like Raine and Richter are amazing, it's the Yggdrassils that are garbage.

  • @chibisuke580 Common misconception. Mithos was evil.

Having a righteous or even morally agreeable reason to take an action, does not stop an action from being evil. Shooting someone in the back of the head is still shooting someone in the back of the head. Some actions can be acknowledged as necessary, but this does not stop them from being evil.

What Mithos wanted to do in Tales of Symphonia was evil. No doubt about it. False salvation is not salvation.

  • @PimpnCereal Though originally his goal wasn't false salvation. truly evil people are those who in the belief that they're doing right do wrong. Noone can really say what is right or wrong when doing it. example is the 2nd tales game(SPOILER UP AHEAD) in which unifying the two worlds has brought on injustice and destruction. So what Lloyd does isn't that good a deed either, now is it? Iim not saying Mithos was good or anything, just that calling him absolute evil is a bit naïve.

  • @chibisuke580 you answered your own question, my phrend.

    NOW DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my name is martel

  • Mithos: I...cant not die...until i save..Martel

  • Mithos: Ill show u the meaning of true power. Mithos is God lol Judgement!!! is that All

  • best to fight this battle on mania

  • this boss was vicouis his chartater is so interesing as well !

  • The Yggdrassill form of Mithos would have been cooler for a final battle.

  • I call upon thee in the land of the dead to unleash thy fury of thunder!! INDIGNATION!

  • Love this boss and that line

  • yggdrassil is also Mithos, get your facts right

  • I agree. I BEZ A FAGGOT, JUDGEMENT!

  • The final boss is Yggdrasil? No,right?

  • Mithos.

  • @fiercezero yes yggdrasil/mithos is the final boss sort of a pushover if ur at the right level now if u want a challenge u should look into finding the devil arms and fighting abyssion but i would recommend fightin all the summon spirits first for the exp god i need this game again

  • Mithos is Yggdrasil I believe Mithos Yggdrasil is his full name

  • People need not introduce themselves to a dog..

  • 4 - 5 years ago me and my brother played this game every day, and when we got to this boss, he was so easy XD

  • ToS is my favorite game ever. I dusted it off a few days ago and started replaying it. I hadn't played it for years and replaying it made me feel again how great that game is. The soundtrack is really one of the greatest video game soundtracks. Love this song, when it plays during the battle, you know that now the shit's going down, you've busted your ass to get here, now it's time to put and end to it all.

  • I always felt so bad for Mithos. He wasn't driven mad for evil reasons; all he wanted was to see his sister and friends united once more, and to bring equality to the world. He became obsessed with the impossibility of bringing his sister back from the grave and changing the minds of all mortals that he finally gave into psychotic despair. He's one of my favorite video game villains.

  • Cool, also have you seen Genis's Mystic Arte?

INDIGNATION!!! Tales of Legendia is possibly the only game that makes that a normal move.

  • @Patcheresu you can get it as a normal move in this game to

  • I meant Indignation Juag(Indignation Judgement)

  • JUDGMENT

I gotta say, I love how he says "judgment" in the final battle. Dunno why.

  • YES!!! I love it, its so sexy to me. I tell my party to stop attacking sometimes just to hear him say it, not like me attacking would stop him, Im very under leveled when I do playtrhoughs

  • I know he sounds like he's just ready to kill hast to be one of my more favorite villians

  • @nivvychan

I completely agree 100%. The only thing better is how he says "Die" in the 2nd form final battle.

  • Disappear!

  • I believe it's, "Why can't you accept the ideal world that I have envisioned." Don't know why someone would thumbs down you for being so close.

  • "How can your world be ideal when you've killed countless innocent people?"

They should definitely release the PS2 version here in America, but I doubt that's ever gonna happen anytime soon or at all.
