Vanillaware is sending 2 games here in America. Those games are Dragon's Crown (PS3, PSVita) which is published by UTV Ignition Games. The game plays like the Dungeons and Dragons games from Capcom. The other one is Grand Knights History (PSP), this game is being localized by XSeed Games.

Absolutely up there within my top 5 games of all time. Please re-release this in some form or other eventually. Seriously, this game was utterly beautiful, had a compelling and heartbreaking storyline, and it made me play my PS2 over my PS3 for weeks and weeks trying to get all those recipes! :D

I think the only real flaw in Odin Sphere is the major slowdown issues.

One of my favourite games on PS2. Beautiful visual design, lovely soundtrack, great characters and a really good story. The gameplay has some repetition issues, but I loved it nonetheless.

That said, I've seen almost nothing but good news of this game, and I'm very interested in it. I'm not totally sure it's my type of game yet, but if I ever get my PS2 fixed, this is definitely on my must-play list.

I don't think 2D graphics in games are disappearing because it's not popular. Most of the GOOD games these days are STILL 2D gameplay, but with 3D graphics. It is my belief that the reasons for so much polygonal graphics in games these days is for the same reason hand-drawn animation started dying out. It costs more and takes longer to do, and ONE tiny character detail change is hours of extra animation work VS one tiny model tweak that doesn't effect animation data much.

It's all about profits.

well, just check Murasama for Nintendo Wii, the graphics are very similiar

@chuchomp It is very popular - Vanillaware mainly used Flash and Photoshop to create the graphics. Unfortunately, 2D games like this and their later Muramasa aren't very popular anymore.

umm the boss after you beat the bid dragon that gives you ride to pooka village

see I haven't gotten to that boss yet because I have no money to get any food to give me some hp

so I die a little bit easyier
