  • This leads to Niles' descent AND ends with him marrying Daphne. :)

  • Poor Niles :(

  • "MRS. DONALD RONALD DOUGLAS!!"

  • I almost cried when Niles says "I'm going to cancel dinner because I want to be alone." I absolutely love how supportive and sweet Martin and Frasier are to him.

  • Ahh, that view of Niles' head against the elevator just killed me.

  • frasier is FUNNY!!!

  • it breaks my heart to see niles suffer like this

  • @twilightxmidna I know....god knows he's suffered enough.

  • Well, he finally had something to be proud of, and a new found masculine pride!

I noticed it too, when he proposed to Daphne.

This comedy always sheers me up, and there is always a new joke in every line if you listen carefully!

  • Who ever loves this show please message me .. This show is very intelligant but very funny and a very smart cast and the fans of this show are also smart.

  • Something's new

    Something's old

    Something's borrowed

    Something's dead.

Couldn't have said it better myself.Niles just heartbreaks you here.Especially the lead against the elevator.

    Man, this really hurts..

  • Oh poor Niles in 5.22.. :´(

  • Poor Niles...

  • oh niles... !

    poor niles ....!!!!!!!

  • I never liked Donnie he was soo icky!

  • @lisababy85 he had to be, it makes Niles look good.

  • @Sohokat yup=) You know what I noticed too. Niles' voice took a DEEP turn when he started to be with Daphnie. I wouldn't say his voice was high pitch or anything but his voice made a SEXY turn when he started getting with Daphne. My dad said it was because he was humbled with her.

  • Most people really don't understand how educational this show really is. I've learned so much watching it from different opera arias to a further extended vocabulary. This really is the "Smartest" show ever made. Pure Brilliance!

  • @YoursTruelyMe2 I agree with you completely. I've watched this show for years, and after taking Psychology classes, this show's dialogue helped me study and I got a lot more of the psychological references too. It truly is the "smartest" show ever made. :)

  • @YoursTruelyMe2

It really is an intelligent show, from the double entendres to the instant contradictions. If you like brainy television you might want to check out a popular British series from the 80's, "A Bit of Fry and Laurie." Stephen Fry's bits are especially intellectual.

  • I guess non-psychics would use a word like "feeling" instead of "vision".

  • Named after the Bob Dylan song 'Visions of Johanna' on the 1966 album 'Blonde on blonde'. Best song on the best album of the best artist ever.

  • Mrs Daphne Ronald Donald Douglas!

    ROTFLMAO!!!

  • Daphne says "mortician", but in Britain it's "undertaker"... she often uses American words where she shouldn't

  • I know what you mean but I can understand it as maybe she's trying to fit in and take on the language.

It funny when she says fanny for bum though! I can't ever imagine saying that without cracking up!

  • I love how Daphne thinks she's psychic! Her "visions" are right on a lot of the time! :)

  • @LiveAsLoveInfinite Wouldn't that mean that she IS psychic? =P

  • I just want to hug Niles when he finds out. So sad

  • what did she ever seen in Donny?

  • @divaexpatriate Actually Donny's really sweet and great to Daphne. Sure he's kind of...very coarse, but Daphne doesn't really have a problem with that. After seeing her brothers, it's not hard to realize why.

  • oooooooooh stop motion....

  • Man, the look on his face when Daphne broke the news...it just broke my heart for Niles.

  • My very favorite episode!

  • jane leeves really shows her acting range in this episode.

  • Good to see Niles has been helping Roz.

  • I know how Niles feels. :( But I did laugh so hard I was coughing when Daphne was talking about the funeral, a.k.a. wedding.

  • Yes apparently the producers draw on a real psychologist (or read on the relevant sitcom audience research), and fully exploit that it is the quintessential beta-male (in this case Niles) who takes over from the lead-character (Frasier) after a while, and becomes the main attraction. The trick is to maintain his second-place between the two, but just barely, as that gives even more contrast to his charm.

  • The "Andy Griffith Show" must have done the same deep psychological analysis in creating the Barney Fife - Andy Taylor relationship. Likewise "The Honeymooners" with Ed Norton over Ralph Kramden.

  • nice insight!!

  • Well, whatever they are using, it's working!! I love Niles and his antics! Favorite character in the whole show!!

  • This is just the best sitcome ever. It just gives me chills of enderment.

  • @ShawnSWATJazz chills of endermen?!?

  • the episode is the episode when niles nad daphne are trying for a baby.maybe if i find it i can upload it. :)

  • Dear, sweet Niles. Funny and heartbreaking at the same time. i can watch this episode all day long

  • Ah, season six... the one I have privately dubbed "the Niles Angst Season". Poor Niles! <3
