  • That was so cool! How did you have your camera mounted? I have biked the abandonned Canadian Northern Rwy line near here (Kingston Area). It's eerie sometimes. You look behind you now and then to make sure a train isn't coming! Even though the rails were lifted in 1986! Sighns of the rail line still exist including electrical boxes and signal tower bases! Fuuny thing! I was out on one of the sections today! Videod some too!

  • The camera was a compact - and hand held.

Yes - I love these old railway lines (often called ghost lines). Out on them, use your imagination and you can hear the distant whistle of a train and feel the presence almost of the long departed souls on board. It's great when the roadbed and remnants like stations etc are retained.

  • This is a nice vid for people like myself who are curious about ghost railtrails. That railtrail looks more like an abandoned road - is it haunted? I would hate to get stranded on that "road" in the dead of night - that area looks isolated & unsafe for pedestrians, motorists & bikers. Always think of your safety first.

  • Biketrack's about the same width as the original trackbed. Not somewhere you would want to go at night. The ghosts on these ghost railways are the ghosts of old trains usually in the head of someone like me LOL. There are reminders everywhere of the old line in the form of pics etc or the rails in the road still there on the level crossing. It's easy in still and peaceful surrounds to imagine the distant whistle or sound of non-existant trains. The only noise was some idiot on a bike (Me LOL)!
