I first saw Dickie in Rosemont ballroom in Moat in 1961, and the last time I saw him was in the Royal Hotel in Athlone in 1963. Good to see he sounds as good as ever. Looking pretty good fro a fellow pushing 70. Thanks for the memories Dickie
I buried my father on thursday 02/04/09. He used to sing "candy store" to me, to make feel better when i was small, that and "we'll rock the road of life together" we played both songs at the funeral and it made me smile. Still has the same effect after all this time.
Good memories. This is my mothers song. She loves the morbid songs also "a mothers love is a blessing" is a favourite. Still love her. TRUE IRISH MOTHER
I had the pleasure of meeting this legendary singer many years sgo after a dance in one of the famous "ballrooms of romance" which are now but a fond memory! My friend and I were waiting to get a lift home from the doormen- two lovely neighbours of my friend, Paddy and Martin, who always delivered us home safely. Dickie was so nice and so unassuming. Thanks for the memories!!

As a Cabra Lad I knew Dickie from his first days on stage at St Finbarrs School Hall. We knew from the start he would make it Big Time.
Still sounds as good today. BEST TIME WAS WINNING THE EUROVISION.
