my sister found her pitbull the sameway. someone had abandoned her, which is hard to believe. I don't like dogs, cat person, but hers is the most well behaved sweetest dog I have ever met in my life...would make a horrible gaurd dog.

I rescue pit bulls in the 3rd ward of Houston. There are always more than my fellow rescuers or I can save, and sometimes it makes me want to give up. Then I watch Tia, and I find inspiration in her story, strength, and commitment. I love her and the show for all the lessons it teaches us about dogs, humans, and second chances!

A couple of months ago, a stray pit bull puppy found my brother and followed him home. She's the cutest thing ever! She was bow-legged so that was probably why her "owner" abandoned her. :[ So sad, no puppy or animal should be abandon like that.

All dogs are only bad if their owners train them that way, when people say they don't like Pits I look at them like "Why?" they tell me "Because they fight" I shake my head to keep from crying tears of sadness because the owners train them that way, a dog only wants to please their owner so if their owner is happy they think it's a good thing that they've done. I will always continue to educate those around me that think all Pits are born to fight. Merry Christmas to everyone.

They deserve every ounce of respect they get. Judge the deed, not the breed. Pit bulls are no meaner than any other dog out there if they are loved and cared for like they should be. They might be a bit stubborn and hard-headed but, so are my akitas and I love them to death. Thank god there are people out there who will go the extra mile to help an animal get a second chance. Dogs love us unconditionally and deserve to be loved in return.
