Small World - the small private high school I went to only had about 125 students
combined but among them were Steve W. (Normals, Cowboy Mouth) , Brad O.
(Contenders), Dean Kruse (Dino Kruse band) and Chuck J. (Models) all at the same time. Chuck J. & Steves' brother David were in my class. I was at the Ol' Man Rivers show where The Normals opened for the Ramones and toasted them.
I know for a fact there's more video of Rat Finks/Red Rockers, the Normals, Hostages, Wayward Youth, Ze Moths, the Plague, Shell Shock, Sluts and even maybe the Contenders out there. I used to see stuff here and there at places like the Mushroom record store etc... Larry 'the Punk' Holmes and big Skyy; please get that stuff up here!!!
omg, this brings back memories mostly embarrassing ones. after all, i had alot of issues back in my teens . they sent me to mandeville. remember mandeville mike? )
Seeing Mandeville Mike perform ME was one of the best punk interludes of the entire era. Last time I saw him, he was running a door to door diaper cleaning service, a class act. Have you got any recording of that song?
What about the Meters, Nevilles, Radiators and most of the early Jazz Bands who took the world by storm? I know, you mean white rock bands. Eye Hate God. Exhorter. There were a couple of bands that should have made it. Nipples of Isis should have. (Junk) Multiple Places. (Suicide) Maybe The Contenders. (Junk) The Sluts. I really don't know what happened. Maybe David grew up. Maybe Jimmy left. I say Fire should have recorded. Rat Finks made it out of NO as the Red Rockers.
I get really bored with the whole jazz thing...maybe when I am 60?? Aa for Eyehategod, they are a bit to metal for my liking. I like the raw, aggressive style of music. The Sluts didn't get the attention they deserved. As for my sarcasm in the previous writings...I love the Normals and they were one of the few bands that came out of NO that I actually like.
is this really live??? it sounds exactly like the single
