The biggest mistake is the idea of "tipping"...no one should have to rely on charity from people's good will to survive beyond minimum wage (which clearly most people can't survive on alone).
The NWO wants to bring wages in the U.S./Canada down to a level commensurate with China. That is the dirty little secret that both political parties won't tell you.If Americans want to keep their jobs here, they are going to have to accept lower wages or the jobs will continue to be shipped over to China/India or they will be done here by cheap non-union immigrant labor from Latin America...
Completely agree, it's taken a few decades for this type of erosion in the labour market to hit the point where it's starting to affect the economy overall.
Those working for the government probably make the $18.72 an hour. I doubt anyone in Walmart makes more than $12.00 an hour, maybe upper management types.
Many times to make that type of money you need to be at the same company for years. Nowadays longevity at the workplace is never guaranteed, unless you work for the government.
Well, I am in Northern BC, a rural setting, and here the average hourly wage is about $25, with a taxation level similar than Ontario.
As fo me, I make way more than that. Where I work, in a staff meeting, the boss, was pointing how much we were desperatly in need to fill a position, yet when advertised, nobody applies.
Three years ago, I took a leave of absence, I went to Quebec, when I started to apply for jobs,in 6 weeks I was offered 6 positions.
I was offered 3 daily overtime hours at $52/hour, yet collegues were refusing and pointed out how stupid I was considering the % of taxes taken out of it.
The job marked is not the same for everyone.
When in the 90's, the job market was shitty for me, people would say to me "we will pray for you" that used to make me so mad, because they were bacically telling me that they will do what costs them the least effort.
What saved me was my ability of risk taking, and trust in the future
A median of 12 or 13 is low but Alaska, no tax. Have to take the gross and find the actual net. Over 24% of mine is taken by the government so 15 becomes 11 with deductions. All relative, if your not making 100k a year, you're not making it.
Great Vid Derek! The munipulation of data coming from the government has surely reached an all time high. With my college education I was only able to find a job as a hospital janitor for $10.50hr. A friend of mine has his degree in teaching and a law degree and hass been looking for a intern level job as a lawyer for about a year now. Things are getting to a breaking point. Buy as many tangible assets as you can. Food, a firearm, ammo, and silver are all things that will be hard to come by!
The thing is from my UK perspective $18.72 an hour equals £11.28. That is still a really low wage, its an ok wage if you rent or mortgage is low, but if you're trying to save up for a mortgage it is very low, considering now you need a 20% deposit do get a fair deal.
The really ironic thing about this is that the joe the plumbers, ken the farmers, john the car mechanic, andy the handyman ect. of the world actually produce real goods while the celebrities, the lawyers and the bankers don't really produce anything, they just extort a wealth commission on an imaginary, non tangible product. You take away the first group, the world stops running. You take away the second group, no one notices.
A third of the world makes $2 a day, wake up and stop wasting money folks, what birthright do we have that that lets us live in peace and prosperity, it just a line in the sand that differentiates us from them.
Was offline all week due to a tech prob. Very good posting, five stars, widely shared. Good points. I get asked often about what's this in France, what's that in the USA, and it's apples and oranges, and statistics can be very misleading. Best to you, have a lot to say, sending you good vibes. Amazing week, huh?
$18.72 average !!! Ridiculous and shows how inflated our economy has become. We will never again be competitive in the global economy and that is the reason for out sourcing of jobs and resources. Not profitable enough to make it in the US. Purchasing power is what is important not how much you make otherwise in Zimbabwe you make a billion an hour which doesn't mean much. Inflation disguise in the economy - Coffee was sold per pound and it's in smaller ounces now and still the same price.
can u explain median vs average say in a typical statistic ?

I think average wages would be a fair measurement if they included all the 0s from the capable unemployed .

I should have written medium as median, sorry.

Forget about the average income. The rich will distort this to an unrealistic level. The medium income is what matters.

I always thought that americans all earned so much money relative to Netherlands. And they also profited from chepar prices in the US.
But now it is clear there is a high wage difference.
