@Nakor420ish To learn higher doctrines, one needs to enroll and learn from the bottom up, just like any other job. A surgeon didn't get their over night, he/she went to school to learn it, then went into GP training and so forth, finally being able to cut people open - legally. To become a priest in the Christian faith, (generally speaking), One needs a bachelors degree followed by seminary school. University and Seminary school are not free. Last I checked anyway. (But they should be IMHO).

All religions charge to learn it's higher doctrines, as do schools of higher learning. @CahanTiarnan i think it is free to go to seminary. I know of a person that went to school and considered become a priest and it was paid for. They got a year of college for free (didnt become a priest). I also had a friend that got a masters degree and worked for a church and it was paid for by the church.

All religions charge to learn it's higher doctrines, as do schools of higher learning. Yes, Scientology goes above and beyond this, by charging to "just to go to church", but they also charge additional fees to learn their higher course material, which is still mandatory, Which is still completely wrong. They got a year of college for free (didnt become a priest). I also had a friend that got a masters degree and worked for a church and it was paid for by the church.

@bebemiah08 mormons are not really christians,they change the dogma quite abit,and to be fair lots of cults are based on christianity,some cults based on dogma alone are very christian,mormonism fits the cult profile,and by claiming celestial dogma(akin to galactic dogma)they have a certain small similarity to $cientology,and to be even more fair,the christian church both catholic and prodestant is full of abuses and lots of "loonies"

It is a common misconception to believe people join Scientology because of the doctrine of Xenu. People actually come to Scientology hoping for increased intelligence, improved personality, and help in dealing with personal problems (as it advertises itself as a self-help philosophy). Later, if they had paid enough, they learn a system of beliefs based on science fiction stories, infestations of alien spirits and exploding volcanos.
This is the bait-and-switch aspect of the scheme.

@vaLLarrr I think he was referring to the fact that OT level scientologists claim to have super powers etc. LRH was never a nuclear physicist, nor was he an explorer, war hero etc. Scientologists still gush about his non existant accomplishments at every turn. My point is, scientology doesn't seem to care about the truth, and at some point they either need to back up their grandiose claims or accept the red letter of shame they have earned for their lies and treachery.
