Comments are supposed to be about this posting. So anyway, I was 12 years old at the time, and I remember thinking that this was a very poor match. No wrestling and no skill. If only it was the Andre from 10 years earlier, or they could have constructed a better match, or added some technical wrestling (obviously not from Hogan but another foe). I'd say this wasn't even in the top 100 of all the matches from 1987. But it was all about the moment and build up that made WMIII what it was.

The only thing good about this match was the atmosphere...Hogan was and still is ungodly overrated, and it's no secret that Andre's size gave him the job...But I respect them, cause a lot of the current wrestlers grew up admiring those wrestlers and the wrestlers of the Attitude era, and the wrestlers of the Attitude era grew up admiring Hogan, and for many of them, he's what got them into wrestling...No in-ring talent, and overrated mic skills...But respect, all the same...
