  • there is no such thing as the holy land. surely thats the point of this movie that no1 seems to have realised.

just a strip of fertile land by the east med.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

    your retarded...

  • @IamFreeRu don't call someone that...U could be next!

  • i could be next?

  • clueless! do U think it's cool to call someone what you called that peson? if you think becoming mentally retarded can't happen to you for a host of reasons, think again. read something!

  • @burnticeblues It doesn't matter whether the land is "truly" holy, if any normal person can decide what is holy. The land has been made holy by the many different groups that live there and treated that way by the people who visit. The many different religions which were founded there, the strength of faith of the people who live there, the sanctity of the areas there, these make the land holy, the people make it holy. If your faith does not have you believe the land is holy, of course.

  • @burnticeblues surely you must know that the holy land is the land of which Jesus made his journeys to those in need and helped the suffering. As the same place where he was born and where he died. That is why that land is holy.

  • I've always loved this exotic music.

  • yeah youre right man, i feel it too

  • id like to visit the Holy Land in the near future hopefully.

  • ı wonder when the tolerance will come??? :(

  • this movie has something of...really strange. Yet, I love it

  • I encourage everyone to watch the extended, directors cut version of the movie rather than the cinematic release. It's a completely different, and better, film.

  • True. Agree.

  • Most definitely! The two are not merely seperate editions of the same film, but like LDN said they are completely different and will radically alter how you see and percieve the film.

  • oh yea directors cut version rocks!!!!!!

  • I got the dvd...is that extended?

  • what is the name of the song at the very beginning?

  • Nice sounding music.

  • It is very strange ..Can anyone tell me why Harry Gregson-Williams used jerry goldsmith The 13th Warrior music in 1,38 minuet please ????

  • It's in the description - The Pilgrim Road

  • Best film score in a long time. And John Williams didn't write it.

  • WHO wrote it ?

  • Harry Gregson-Williams

  • Harry Gregson-Williams

  • LOTR had an awesome sondtract as well.

  • I like 1:40 so much

  • this song gets good at 2:33

  • instruments and music is mainly from Turkey.and 2 or 3 of the songs in the soundtrack album was composed by a turkish folk-ethnic music band.i love medieval and renaissance music.greetings from Turkey.

  • the turkish culture is a combination of wat they've stolen from the rest of the middle east. this music is middle eastern and u cant claim the instruments as "turkish" unless it was the turks that introduced them to the middle east when they came from central asia, which didnt happen. these instruments were in the middle east before the mongols came.

  • Quite right, this is a combination of Hebrew-Arabic rhythm and instruments, especially from 0:50 to 1:30, it's most obvious

  • if you listen properly there is a hebrew-arabic theme plus a christian choir which represents all aspect of the movie

  • Yes.

  • I guess it's when Balian arrived at Ibelin.

  • love the music and the movie!

  • indeed

  • Fantastic music. Puts you in another realm..
