does anyone else notice the connection between king of the mountain and wild man? they both reference mountains plus @ 3:08 the newspaper says "sightings of elvis in yeti colony" when i listened to both songs i heard a connection, now watching this video it appears that there is another connection also, plus the two songs sound similar in parts.

This brings me back to 2005. I remember how magical it was to hear new material from her after 12 years. Aerial turned out to be a real grower for me, I now consider it to be one of her top three albums. It is absolutely epic!! Now, in 2011, we have been blessed with the wonderful DC, the stunning "Wild man" and are eagerly awaiting her new album 50 words for snow!!!

I'm laughing at all the posts I see talking about Kate's overcoat and how she looks overweight. See, thing is, she could be 300lbs and still stand on a stage and move our souls with her talent. Let's see Britney try that. Most of these current "stars" are just models with little or no musical talent. @jhnx4z Lady Gaga was hugely influence by Grace Jones and Madonna. Bat for lashes and Florence and the machine have far more to attribute to Kate Bush's music. Bjork has said many times that she was inspired by Kate's music.

This is a curious video to me. Kate emerges from more than a decade out of the public eye with an excellent collection of songs, and she chooses as her first single one about Elvis?!? But, OK, it's Kate and we're just happy to have anything. But then this video comes out and it's just so literal. Gone is the wispy, whimsical Kate of years ago in favor of a new "talking head" Kate who seems reluctant to be seen below about chest level. Her camera is so static that she could have shot it herself.

I love the the way this music builds a picture and the video captures that brilliantly. Maybe the only thing I'd have changed would be to add a Kane homage when Rosebud gets mentioned because I think there's a synergy between Elvis' Rosebud and Kane's. No one else writes songs that mix musical and lyrical intelligence quite as good as Kate does it. Maybe Tori Amos comes close.
