neat pic's but this place is said not to be safe for another 100 years its incredably stupid to even go near this place. So sad that countries have not learnt from the past events. In alberta, canada the goverment is thinking of puting up three nuclear power plants to keep up with the use of power. The day this happends canada will be unsafe (in my opinon. Nothing is 100% perfect.)

you do not need any special suit...there is low radiation in Pripyat and places around...som places with dangerous radiation are signed...

You don't actually need suits at all (Hazard suits). The thing is, however, that there are a few "hot particles" floating around, and a lot of toxic dust is still on the ground in buildings. A dust mask will do fine and protect you well enough.

Also, vegetation such as grass or moss act as a sponge of radiation. So it's best be near buildings or on concrete.

It varies from a few minutes to a few weeks, depending on who you are and where. In the long therm, you can develop cancer because of radiation.
