they drive a bus around in circles all day, they should barely get more than minimum wage, anything more is just silly, and to compare themselves to cops, fire fighters, etc who have incredibly stressful jobs where they are constantly in danger and constantly dying and getting injured is insulting and disgusting.
i agree with keskus99, it's not kinnear's fault..no one wanted a strike! Listen i'm on my 6 day on the job...it's a sweet gig and a great company to work for...i've been riding the ttc all my life, so i can see the otherside...but man you know what it's more then just braking and accelerating...and six figures ummm i don't think so unless you wanna work mucho overtime and not have a
Okey 6 figures might be exagerating. For sure they make 50 thousand a year. Rents in Toronto are much cheaper than New York. Going on strike is a shame. Most of the riders make 14,000 to 25 thousand a year. A lot can not afford a car. A good amount of ttc workers have one and yous selfishly made them walk instead of keeping on negotiating. his happened to me in New York dec 05 right before christmas. Roger Tussaint wanted a 25 percent raise over 3 years.
Never mind the fare increases it would of causes. Most transit riders can not afford a car and can not afford to pay anymore fare increases. So what did yous do selfishly go on strike for 3 days making me poorer than I already was by not being able to get to work. No more strikes. Ontario should have the same Taylor law New York state has.
No more strikes. Negotiate resonably. A lot of transit riders are lucky if the get a 25cent a hour raise. Minumum wage workers have to wait years sometimes to get a wge increase. Those are the people yous hurt most. A lot can not afford any more fare increases.
First, management pushed Kinnear into the strike. Their attitude was "...so what? Go on strike! You will be mandated back to work by Monday" Remember that contract negotiations are complicated. Kinnear averted a strike several times before that fatefull day.
Second. Sean, you are cute.
Third. We don't make 6 figures.
Fourth. Wanna roll in that dough like we do? Remember - all you have to do is break and accelerate. Apply.
I don't really know what to think at this point...
I've been told a lot of different things from a lot of different people. A lot have people have shifted blame from one to the other. In all actuality, no one person was to blame. But I was pretty upset when I made this, so some facts were off...
And I know most of you don't make six figures.
I tried to research that but only found ball park estimates.
Most guys make between 45k to 65k depending on seniority and the shifts they choose. It is good pay. An I must say you did a sweet job on the video, wish I could be as eloquent.
Somewhere I read you are from Miami??? Is that right? When I was there for DVD, I noticed the buses there had barriers between the driver and riders. That is another issue in Toronto. City officials don't want that because they 'project the wrong image to tourists.' (who cares about the driver) :(
I say that most should care about the driver considering they are the ones that get you to your destinations safe and sound. Anyone ever think the reason why ttc went on strike is because the way the public treats them as well as the management get paid alot however the deivers and operators dont. Come on , lets be fair.

Yeah, Keskus99 cleared all of that up from me...
And I know it's a relatively difficult job, I was exaggerating. I originally intended the video to be humorous, not entirely factual.

bikes may not win if they have close encounters with motorised vehicles... if not for motorised vehicles bikes would always win

I'm actually from Orlando, but I lived in Miami for a summer, never took transit there though...
And try your hand at vlogging, it's so simple..
Just record yourself talking about a subject, and cut out the parts of silence...
It's called the "jump cut" and everyone is doing it!!
Give it a try
