The beatles were innovative and influenced so much music and everyone owes them a debt for that. However they were hardly great musicians , and over the years hundreds of band have taken their influence from the beatles and then produced much much better music.

Aerosmith is by far my favoite band but if you think the Beatles suck you are officially an idiot and not worth talking to about music. Oh and this is for the other readers to laugh at you with me not to debate someone who has no clue how much the Beatles matter to all rock bands everywhere. Unless you only like 50's rock all or 99.9% of all rock is influenced by the Beatles.
i cant remember exctly how steven introduced nikki, it was something like 'now here's one badass motherfucker, mr nikki sixx' or something like that.... wasnt it??

the dude said that summertime blues came out in 67 which, unless im crazy, was before 68. the beatles suck ass anyway so it doesnt matter. aero's cover of this song destroys the beatles version and the crues version is even better.
You are wrong. The song Summertime Blues was an Eddie Cocheran song from like 1960. It's rock not metal and the Who punched it up a little but it's basically straight ahead American pre-Beatles rock n' roll. Helter Skelter is credited by 99.9% of all authorities on Rock as starting what became "Hard Rock/or Metal". Not by the standards Metal is thought of as today.
that's charlie man, he's jesus christ man.. aerosmith is good in concert. but, you guys are arguing with dwalton666 , 666?? good to see live video, thanks..

Beatles Helter skelter the first heavy metal song in rock history..it's a fact!!!
joruva 4 years ago
helter skelter - beatles - 1968
summertime blues - blue cheer - 1967
first heavy metal song? i dont think so.
not saying anything againmst the beatles, but they most definitley did NOT have the first heavy metal song.
get your facts straight.
jhachey222 4 years ago
Yes They Did! I beileve this was realised in '68 I dare you to find a heavy metal song before then......

yes, Eddie Cochran did write a song called summertime blues, but a band called Blue Cheer made a cover of it.
stop giving credit where it is not due. the Beatles did inspire a lot of bands, but they definitley did NOT write the first Hard Rock/Metal song.

so, wow, Paul McCartney started metal. Haha!
