  • Man, I thought I was the only one that hits that stretch WOT - awesome sound!. Cool car "D"

  • It's been bored to a 1400 cc, high lift cams, and gets a tune to 253 crank hp.

  • Killer car dude, looks like it hauls ass. Did you do much to the busa motor or is it mostly stock?

  • Steering wheel comes off to make ingress/egress easier like in most race cars.

  • why does the wheel come off?

  • It helps to check "Everything" when you are planning on going 150 mph in a very tiny open-topped car for the better part of 12 seconds. Cocky gets you killed. Skill and being precautious allow you to do seemingly idiotic things and walk away. Sorry you feel this way. Go get yourself a stupid toy and have some fun!

  • @drdoom1963 - I love the way you say check "everything" then put your steering wheel on and don't give it a quick tug LOL. Good luck , 150mph on the streets, bit silly.

  • I dont know anything about you or your life but cant help thinking you are such a cock in real life with your attitude ! Read few lines and answers from you all your responds are soooo COCKY this is one of those moments where you wish you never saw or heard ! bleaahhhh

  • SeatBelt check ! Camera check, steering lock check ok Camera second check pass, Willy check 00:40 pass, willy and balls temperature check, pressure normal 00:50 hilarious !!

  • Nice shades / goggles.

  • demasiado auto para alguien que no sabe soltar el embrague sin que se le pare 2:02 lollololo

  • lol for an "old motherfucker" you sure know how to drive xD LOL 2:02

  • Why don't you just wear a helmet?

  • @needleonthevinyl

Certainly could do. I wear one at the track. However, driving on the street in an open car with a helmet on would just attract MORE attention, which is NOT my goal!

  • strapped his ears back to reduce drag he he

  • Just call me Mark Webber....

  • fail at 2:02 lol but really fast afterwards

  • lol sissy go kart.

  • Yes, sound is bad-- that's what happens when unempeded wind hits a microphone at 145 mph. Any time you want to come challenge this "old motherfucker" to a race with anything on 4 wheels, come see me...

  • SOUND IS SHIT... DRIVER IS OLD MOTHERFUCKER AHAHAHHA

  • and i would have slowed down at that intersection at 2:24

  • i see you made it to work on time ;*P

  • I like the sound:

    VROOOOOBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBR

  • Камера так трещит, что счётчик Гейгера отдыхает.

  • So you are quite familiar with the Caterham chassis. This car has definitely seen the dyno for tuning purposes. The engine was enlarged to 1400cc from 1300cc and was retuned on the dyno at that time.

  • @paullubliner

Notice I say "indicated" 150. It's probably more like 135-140. At 14 seconds downhill at WOT in sixth gear, it's definitely top speed though. All Seven's are bricks in the wind. This car has 253 hp and will run to 10.500 rpm in sixth at an indicated 150 mph. I have done it repeatedly....

  • @drdoom1963: I've had 2 of these. The triangulated lower wishbone's front 1/2" bolt (metric now I'd imagine) instead of a stud and that triangulation are because of me. Back in '86 I insisted Jez Coates add that to my second chassis and powder coat the thing but I only got the bolts. '87 on, powder coated. Prefer the look of the clamshells myself. Those cause front end lift. That Hyabusa puts out 253BHP? Have you dyno'ed it or is that a claimed 253BHP? Car companies tend to exaggerate.

  • thats good u say u doing 150mph and u show your face on the video what if the police looked at this u would get fucked over

  • @carsarenumber2

    Yes, there's always that possibility!

  • Where are your side view mirrors and your rear view mirror at? They don't appear to be on your car.

  • @Ne1ld0

The rear view mirror is smack in the top middle of the windscreen. The side mirrors on on the doors, both of which are not on at the time of this filming.

  • @drdoom1963 what transition are you useing

  • @Ne1ld0 The most often used excuse is "They fell off officer."

  • crazy O.O.D! :) (onion odor driver)

  • You should probably wear a helmet if your going to push those speeds.

  • @RyIzzle

It would not doubt not hurt to have worn a helmet!

  • @RyIzzle Why? It wouldn't do any good, this doesn't have a "crush zone tub."

  • @paullubliner True, but Id want something more than goggles if I were on anything but a "sunday drive"

  • sick video aand the stall doesnt take away from it at all. keep it chill bro

  • My car is black, DavidoggL. I wonder if you are commenting on David Saville Peck's British racing green Super 7?

  • I don't like this dark green color

  • @DavidoggL Then paint it pink.

  • @paullubliner And why would I paint it pink?! I would paint it light blue with orange stripes (Gulf style you know).

  • @DavidoggL I was being facetious, or didn't you "get" that?

  • @paullubliner Of course I got it. I just wanted reply on your answer :)

  • what's the name of those glasses ?

  • @MrRacer2010

I wish I could remember and unfortunately, there is no brand name on them anywhere. The do work very well, I must say.

  • a small piece of clothing over the mic would take alot of the noise :)

  • @KGPDK

Yes, the sound on the camera was bad. The camera has a build in mic and no port for an external mic. I have since bought the new version of the camera, and the sound is much, much better. Maybe another run is in order!

  • @drdoom1963 Yes Please!

  • Nice,

  • The stall was just a lapse in concentration on my part. Never planned on a fast start. Not necessary in that car, since it's so light and accelarates so quickly. Oh, yes there should be several videos of the S2000 on my page, drdoom1963.

  • I'll be down there to help you out:-)

  • Shame about the stall.... but these things aren't designed for smooth & slow starts :)

    Any videos of the S2000?

  • sound nice when going slow. good picture quality too!

  • Put a piece of tape over the mic to cut down on wind noise.

  • Using an external mike would be ideal, but it is not possible on this camera. I now have the new HD GoPro, so alot of this problem is solved. But, at over 100 mph, wind noise is still a factor. No way around that in an open car, I fear.

  • i like that sequential gearbox!

  • Nice video :):)

  • very cool car

  • learn to drive before you fool

  • I take it you are referring to the stall? Getting the car off the line is a tricky business since it has NO flywheel. As for my driving, anytime you want to match wits, bring what you got...

  • @drdoom1963 No flywheel? I don't know what a flywheel does, I'm Googling that now, but could you explain why it doesn't have a flywheel?

  • realy nice vid but dont like the sound :P

  • Yea, the sound is awful. I am still trying to figure out how to improve it with this camera, but I have also heard the sound on this particular camera is its achilles heel.

  • @drdoom1963 you need to shield the mic from the wind.

  • @drdoom1963 can u use an external mic?

If so, put the mic somewhere on the seats, so it won't catch 'wind sounds'.

  • Great fun in that little machine. Is that a Go-Pro camera you used? Your whole collection of interesting cars is to be admired. Keep it up.

  • Yes, I have three very fun, yet different sports cars-- Porsche GT3, Honda S2000 Kraftwerks Supercharged, and a Caterham Super 7 Hayabusa 1400. Most of the videos are done with the Go-Pro. I can't get the sound right, but I think I can get it bette if I play with the settings. I think the sound is an issue with the current generation camera that Go Pro knows about and is working on or have affected a fix for as I speak.

  • EPIC FAIL.

  • What does EPIC FAIL mean?

  • You failed miserably in the art of winning at the lights.

  • Yes, I certainly did fail--I stalled it. This car has no flywheel and get-offs are a bit tricky. However, racing the other cars or getting a holeshot was not my aim. I was not in a race. My intention is to roll off and reach top speed--I have plenty of room. I know that stretch of road intimately. I have reached 177 mph there in a Porsche Turbo before braking for the corner.

  • You managed to 'get off' when you started off. Loads of revs and dump the clutch, easy.

  • Yea, but only if you need it! In a race maybe, but the Honda and the Pontiac beside me were not racing me, nor I them! Clutches get expensive...

  • Very COOOL Dan.....You are getting much better at gear-changing........!! Just think how fast Vader will be with a Rotrex.......????
