  • I saw the ME-109 and thought alright chaps! Let's get the spitfire!

I saw the ME-262 and though Hmm a SU-47 could easily fire a heat seeker up that jerry's arse!

    Lol

  • зенитку на 8 часов! 5 мессершмитов! огонь!!!

  • They are bloody warmachines, but they are beauties!

  • I think I read in a Fly Past magazine some years ago that the 109 'Black 6' crashed and was destroyed. Good to see it at the start of this video. Maybe someone can verify this.

  • @Honour42GB

It wasn't destroyed. It flipped over onto its back in a botched landing and was repaired. It was only supposed to fly for limited time before moving to permanent static display because it's a rare original. Unfortunately, the accident happened on what was supposed to be the very last flight. It's now displayed at RAF Museum, Hendon.

  • @FiveCentsPlease Thanks for the info....regards

  • See? The Luftwaffe is NOT destroyed!

  • Fantastic, real planes, oh such style, thanks for posting.

  • nice svatiska x)

  • Thank You! finally someone that has the proper march!

  • Holy shit

    nice airplanes

  • beautiful music, beautiful planes. Nice video!

  • Great March-Respect from LITHUANIA.GO TO KILL RUSSIAN-KOMMUNISTS BASTARDTS. T O D A Y..

  • Eisenhower is one of many examples of how much better our Germans are than your Germans.

  • @hydroflight1

Germans better than Germans? I'm pretty sure Germans ARE Germans.

  • 0:41 gave me goose bumps...hearing those engines with the music from The Battle of Britain

  • i touched that very 109 (black 6)

  • Respect from Lithuania.

  • those r some cool looking planes i would like one :D

  • No match for the glorious RAF

  • @peak45 Thats a sweeping statement mate! Hats off to our boys but always remember that we were on our knees as once again good old Adolf came to our rerscue with one of his idiotic decisions. He demanded that they bomb London, and in doing that he left the airfields alone. This was crucial as the RAF was just about done.

  • @silverarrowslk Well, not really. The surprise the Luftwaffe had was an extensive radar relay system. And that's what really saved England's butt! That until good ol' Adolf started his eastern campaign and the United States pretty much saved the world!

  • @DickLodge68 The United States never saved the World. The USSR and the red army beat the Nazis. The Western front was a side show.

  • the music is the Luftwaffe March!

  • general adolf galland! thats who me meant

  • if i remember didnt a general luftwaffe general work on the battle of britain film? cant remember what his name was but he looks very cool in his uniform and i tihnk he had a slim moustache lol

  • Ausgezeichnet!!!

  • they did have good taste in music

  • Bravo! Author-Author! Well-done.

  • The first Bf-109G in the video is now in the RAF Hendon Museum......

Does anybody know why that is?

  • @TheBrianmp5

It's a genuine and mostly complete WW2 example, captured in North Africa. A 20-year rebuild effort made it the first authentic Me109 to be airworthy. The plan all along was to fly it for a short while and retire it to the museum as a rare original. On the final flight, it had a landing accident and was repaired before joining the museum

  • Даже Швальбе летает!

  • cool!! Kamikaze of Germany (。・ω・)ノ゙~卐

  • This is just great! I've been searching for similar videos.

  • vunda baa

  • Almost awesome, because of the voices and the horn at 1:19.

Germany in the '40s was the perfect combination of brilliant engineering, professional armed forces, and amazingly retarded politicians.

BTW, Göring was addicted to morphine, so the Luftwaffe was actually ruled by a drug addict. No wonder how he planned to open the invasion of UK from the air, while the ME109 had autonomy for fighting only 15 mins over England, and none of his bombers was able to reach beyond the London area.

  • @gonzalo060375

lol yeah der furher realy knew how to pick his men

  • @gunny426plymouth BTW, Don't know why, but each time I hear people shouting in German -even a coach leading his team in a soccer game on TV, I almost inmediately think of war movies, LOL.

PS: Of course, this is just another Made-in-Hollywood stereotype. if these folks created the Mercedes Benz and Rammstein, they must be cool people :D

  • @gonzalo060375 The Luftwaffe hit Coventry, Cardiff, Plymouth and Liverpool. Even allowing for the fact that Plymouth is not too long a haul from bases in Brittany, the other three target cities I've listed show just how far inland the twin-engined bombers could range at night. It's just that they dare not have done it by day, due to the fighter range limits of the time as you quite correctly point out.

The biggest flaw in Nazi planning for the UK invasion was Seelowe itself. Abysmally bad plan.

  • Where was the tail hakenkreuz?

  • gar nicht gewusst das diese Flugzeuge überhaupt noch fliegen.

  • i had an orgasm

  • @TheAtomicKaiser

    fack you german people

  • @TheAtomicKaiser proves you need help

  • @TheAtomicKaiser You just made my day!

  • germany can be great again but as part or europe.

  • I had no idea there were 262's still in working condition. Well done those involved.

  • @vinorob

The 262 is one of five new-build replicas (only four will fly), copied from an original during restoration. They fly with modern engines and few safety updates. There is one original under restoration to fly, but no firm date for when that project will complete.

  • keep them flying !

    greetings from berlin, german luftwaffe

  • shivers down my spine, but man, why did you use music with voices from a movie?

  • Well the music is XD

  • @Brian79camino the music, its from the movie The Battle Of Britain. Great movie, excellent soundtrack,

  • @Thatoneguy833 oh yea i know that, thats been one of my favorite movies since i was a kid....i was just wonderin, cause u put "XD" up there...like its funny or somethin

  • @Brian79camino I was experienceing nostalgia, so i put up "XD" come to think of it im not sure why.

  • @Thatoneguy833 ahh ok i got ya lol

  • THIS IS FROM THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN! Oh how i love that movie : D

  • This vid is like time machine!!

  • Good to see Black 6 again when it was airworthy. Could those 109's have participated in the movie Valkyrie with Tom Cruise? In the movie there are four, but two of them are clearly shown doing flybyes, and the other two could be CGI.

  • @billace90 I rememeber seeing somehwere where they did use real planes in the movie, I know the Junkers transports (JU 52's) were authentic planes, but not too sure about the 109's

  • @ww2man1939

Fighters were CASA HA_1112 Buchons from the Spanish AF. The He111s were CASA 211s built by Spain for the Spanish AF. They were being retired from service, many scrapped after the movie since few people wanted to buy them. Spits and Hurricanes were real, and some models blown up. The Stukas were models--some thought was given to getting a surviving Stuka flying but that did not happen. Fantastic effort getting so many planes for the movie.

  • @FiveCentsPlease

    Scrapped?

WHat do you mean, they were tearing apart unique peices of History?

  • @jimmyxx3

Many of the Buchon fighters were snapped up by collectors and survive today, a few flyable and a few reborn as Me109s. Spain built the Heinkels (CASA 211s) after the war, as well as the Buchon fighters. There wasn't much interest in the CASA 211s when they were retired from the Spanish AF, but a few were purchased after the movie filming. Historical appreciation and value of warbirds was not very important until the 1980s as their value began to skyrocket.

  • @FiveCentsPlease

oh i see, yes, it's probably more important to keep these planes now than it was like a few years after the war.

  • lol from 1:33 onwards i guess the undercarriage lever was a bit sticky ;-P

  • wow he must have been flying slow, the slats semi deployed ;)

  • Just the beginning made me cry, how beautiful!

  • :DDDD wow i just blew my load

  • @FiveCentsPlease, Thanks for that, I have seen and photographed all of then in museums across Europe, it would be great to get all three of them (new builds and the one old 109) up again and into air displays. It would show the public how good these brilliant beasts were.

On a related subject are the flying 109s proper MEs or HA-1109s?

  • @mepjohnson

There are two airworthy Me109E models which are both reconstructions from wrecks, so while essentially new they are original.

Black 6 seen in this video was the only wartime original airframe to be restored to flight before it was put on permanent display. The three Me109G models that fly were all HA-1112 aircraft rebuilt with a mixture of original parts. The three G models are all at Messerschmitt Museum in Germany, so a formation flight might happen one day.

  • I want one!

  • I just love the shouting!!

  • Where the hell did you get vids of two of 'those yellow nosed bastards' flying, a flight by a 262 and a 190/

  • @mepjohnson

The dual Me109 flight is available on DVD and features footage from 1996 when there were only two DB-engined Me109s that were airworthy. The Fw190 is the prototype of 20 new-build replicas (not BMW engines.) The Me262 is one of 5 new-build replicas (copied from an original during restoration) with modern engines for safe flight.

  • @FiveCentsPlease , Thanks. I knew about the 109s and now there is only one (after the Hannah crash) as for the 190 and 262, did they ever get the replicas up?

  • @mepjohnson

There are currently five airworthy DB Me109s. Two of the five 262s have flown, but I'm not sure about the other two (the fifth is a static display aircraft.) Several of the Fw190 replicas have flown with more coming. I don't know how many of those 20 have been sold. Two or three of the Fw190 replicas are being used to construct D-9 examples for future flight. Two WWII original Fw190s (original BMW powered) are finishing restoration with one completing the first test flight on Dec 1.

  • Hello

Na das nenne ich doch mal "Klasse".

Sehr sehr schön anzusehen besonders toll die Bf - 109 "Black 6"

Where is the recorded ? What airshow ?

  • These 109's have the DB601 engines, I thought that all flyable 109s are using Merlins??

  • @bills02861

While the DB engines are still very rare to find and horribly expensive to rebuild, there are currently 5 flyable Me109s that have been built with a DB. There are a handful of others under long-term rebuilt to fly also. I believe there are one or two Ki-61 Tony projects that will also use DB engines if and when they eventually fly.

  • These 109's have the DB601 engines, I thought that all flyable 190s are using Merlins??

  • fuck of holocaust!

israelis make today an holocaust to with german and american weapons!

    also forgott it!

    this is the german luftwaffe!

  • I did a 300 mile round trip just to see this plane fly. Worth every minute.

  • The tune is Aces High by Ron Goodwin :D

    Now everyone is alittle wiser.

  • Jetzt müsste man deutsch verstehen,was... meine verehrten Tommy und YankeeFreunde LOL

  • heil reichmarshall goering..!!

seig heil to the thied reich..

    very nice movie..

  • hay this is an anigma i saw that in alot of sites it says this tune was written for the battle of brittan film (vicipedia and more) yet its playied in all these luftwaffe vids why is that?

  • Great plane but it aint no mustang

  • @mrjamiehorn But then it's 1930's cantilever monoplane fighter design and VERY good for that generation. Mustang is 1940's cantilever monoplane fighter and VERY good for its generation.

Let's not start flaming, but what IF the 1944 Luftwaffe had been equipped with a few thousand TA-152's? That would be interesting on a combat flight sim...

  • BLACK6 in better days, no doubt! 5 stars!

  • Beaautiful collection of Germans finest. It is great to know some of 'em are preserved for future air fans.....

  • sempre honrados pilotos alemaes, nunca desistiram de atravessar o canal!!!!!!

  • i think that the me109 has the nicest cockpit canopy. It has a very sturdy industrial look.like most vehicles of the Reich

  • la svastika non doveva essere tolta, è una mancanza di rispetto per i piloti che ci hanno creduto per un ideale sbagliato che sia ......

  • @ISITROify è anche solo una croce

Non si diventa sociaista nazionale solo per vederlo.

To be an real N.S you need read and learn from real N.S

Some of the Institute of Historical Reviews (ihr) , Otto Skorceny , Leon Degrelle and Adolf Hitler books , The real Mein Kampf and not the british fake book.

One comon neo are only a Punk with Svastikas , be N.S it takes months or Years in this days , God with us.

  • Where and when was this event held?

  • @8th1

It's a collection of different films put together.

  • It sure looks like the engines have been replaced with the Merlin from the spitfire. They just do not look the same.

  • My favorite aircraft the bf-109 G-6.

  • I shall always honor the real Power of The Skies of our Fallen Comrades - LONG LIVE THE LUFTWAFFE!!!

  • @DetroitLove4U CRAP!

  • Loved it. Btw There is a swastika on the tail of the first 109 in the vid. I agree they should have them on all from the period.

  • Das ein schoene video! Me-109, FW-190 und Me-262 hier!

  • O ya

  • omg a real flying me262?

how did u get the engines, or was it a subsitute?

  • @LoXoBaBy I think it's a replica - there are more movies on youtube about replica me-262s being made and flown in the USA.

  • SO SO SO SO GOOD!!!!!!

  • Love at timehack 1:09 the Me262 passing the A380 sitting on the ramp

  • This is a tune composed for the 1970s film The Battle Of Britain.

  • During the Battle of Britain why did Hermann Göring ordered to bomb the towns instead of the airfields?

  • @ss90ss444

a mortal mistake. The Brits were down to their last two days of operational flights of fighters. There were even surrender documents drawn up ( inspite of Churchill's rhetoric)

Nevertheless the bombing of the cities started as a response to the bombing of Berlin which was a move by the Brits to anger the Germans into retaliating in kind. Also the Luftwaffe pilots were very worn down and that played into the decision as well, but they could have managed a few more missions.

  • @ss90ss444 It wasn't Goering, it was Hitler who ordered it. Goering was happy to bomb the RAF. Hitler was provoked into bombing towns when the RAF bombed Berlin first. This was the start of the famous London Blitz, and meant the RAF could attack the Luftwaffe with relative impunity.

  • @tb1985uk

Didn't the Germans bomb London by accident first, provoking the British?

  • @Fetchdafish No, the British had been bombing german industrial cities for a while. One night the British dropped bombs all over Berlin due to cloud cover (so they say), this led Hitler to abandon his orders to only bomb military and industrial targets. It is true the Germans accidently bombed London, but the British policy of bombing German cities to provoke hitler away from their airfields was a long held policy, and that Berlin raid was the straw that broke the camel's back. :)

  • @tb1985uk "If any British plane would bomb Berlin you can call me Mier" - Goering

  • @ss90ss444 The same reason that mad Adolf tried to take on Soviet Union, they were both THICK!

  • this is the greatest song ever =)

  • cool

  • too bad the music ruined the sound of daimler benz engines screaming

  • @seabee75

but the video is about the song o.O

    not motors

  • Spitfire!! always the answer, to the WWII question??????????? think about it?

  • bakan la luftwaffe, saludos desde chile

  • go luftwaffe

  • lol the sounds in backround... dont really match with the vid... for english speaking people the sound like radio-transmission... but "Jowohl Herr Reichsmarschall!" is funny... thats the scene when Goering arrives...

  • This video is great :) I wish I could see those magnificent airplanes live once.

  • It is on the tail as all German aircraft of the time. The Iron Cross was the symbol of the Luftwaffe and they fought for Germany not the Nazis. BIG difference

  • The swastika was the symbol of the swiss airforce prior to the Nazis, therefore the Germans had to make do with the cross.

  • @stricklandsahib - the swastika was the symbol of the finnish airforce, not that of the swiss.

  • Also the display of any Swastika is illegal in German after the end of WW2

  • History is written by the winners, the Russians are the "Good Guys" you see...

  • @volodyyy Not aloowed to put the swastika on...European rules...upsets the sensitive natures of certain countries. IMHO, it aint complete until it has it's swastika.

  • @volodyyy If this was filmed it Germany, it would be illegal to paint swastikas on it. In any case, I am not sure German WWII planes had swastikas. Probably not. But let's check.

  • @volodyyy Forbidden in Germany. Same goes if you buy Scale models. Usually you must buy Swastika decals seperately.

  • @volodyyy I believe in Deutschland, it is illegal so they must conceal it for the various airshows there.

Many German WWII videos on YT are also blocked there !

Yet if you go to the German capital of Berlin today, there are STILL numerous large RED ARMY monuments with one just a short walk from the Reichstag !

You are 100% correct in your statement, from 1922-1991 the Soviet Union killed, tortured and enslaved more people Than the 12 years of Nazi Germany with the Holocaust.

  • you have a CANNES film award in the post!

  • YOU could not have selected a better backing music ! lovely vid WELL DONE

  • my great uncle was shot down by a fw-190 its an amazing aircraft.....

  • That FW-190 looks like a new build with a Russian ASh-82 Radial installed. Am I correct?

  • FUCKING GREAT!!!!

  • FW190 !!

    so nice Yabo!!

  • Oh my God, wheres the Air festivals like this? I didnt see any Lufwaffe aircrafts on any Air show, ever. But I want to see them so much.

  • is it just me or does the fuselage bf109f and all models after it remind you of fokker albatros dV

  • yes, the round noses, is just typical german style, in fact, it is funny that you bring this up. Over here in Holland we have a lot of windmills for generating power, some of those remind me of the Bf-109 due to the shape of the blades and the spinner, and after a little research, it turned out to be German design

  • Comment removed

  • @yakovlev3a Let start us again for a Nationalsozialworld! Yes we can!

  • @yakovlev3a Well since some planes are improvements of older ones...

  • @yakovlev3a I am sure that the front end of these planes are not 109's.The engines were replaced with the Merlins from the Spitfire. Fitting.

  • @Fionnlawrence These look like late model F & G versions. The Me-109's in service during the Battle Of Britain were E models which did indeed have a different looking nose - The aircraft used in the "B of B" movie were Spanish licence built aircraft called HA-1112 with Merlin Engines.

  • SOOOO KOOOOOOOL!!!

  • God I LOVE that fly-by sound of the 109's!!! :D

  • first bf109 - isn't it the one from r.a.f. museum hendon?

  • Great video.Thanks for sharing

  • The Me262 was actually produced by a couple of European countries after 1945/.

  • yeah, czechoslovakia continued to produce the Me262 after world war 2.

  • Who knew that there was a working Me-262

  • There's an FW Dora that should be in flying condition soon. Also there are a few Storches flying around. Some guy built a replica Ju88, but it's not to scale. It would be great to add those to the vid.

  • Actually, in my opinion the one who defeated the Luftwaffe was Herman Goering. A hero in his day, but no strategist and the morphine addiction didn't help. A clever and charming man though by all accounts, but that won't win any battles. He overestimated its ability to subdue England in the time frame required, and underestimated Englands ability to keep putting up fighters. "Here come the last fifty Spitfires" the crews used to joke. Herr Grofatz helped too with his meddling. TAKKATAKKATAKKA.

  • Goering saugt Esel schmekel

  • The field was left by one party, that makes a winner. If Goering had real heavy bombers, and lots of them, if the attack on airfields had not shifted to cities. If more resources had been commited, but they wern't. Secondary importance my arse! One shouldn't attack Russia when the back door is open to invasion and a second front. There is no almost won. No, the LW wasn't beaten, but it lost BOB, get over it Fritz, there's no shame in glorious defeat. Isenkreuzes all round, Good show!

  • blah blah blah brit moron ,, the fact is that you where on your knees begging sucking usas dick to get into the war, you know you coundt defeat germany by yourself ,dont go bluffing of your victory because it wasnt yours to begin with ,youre just usas bitches now youre nothing(and your queen looks like a fucking man lol)chikenlampscrewer

  • Ok, you're angry. I really wish you could speak ENGLISH properly so I could understand you. Post in Deutsche, I can understand ein kleine of that also. I think our people should forget about WHO WON, which was USSR, USA, Britain etc. and proceed with trying to preserve the last of the few white genes left. Maybe try not killing each other so much in the future. BOB belonged to the RAF hands down. DO you have Adolf Gallands' and Franz Steiglers' autograph? I do, I keep them with my Eisenkreuze.

  • Keep in mind that Ruskies (Stalin) were ready to sign separate peace treaty with Adolf because they were finished and only thing to save them was massive techological and materiel support from US and UK and millons of unarmed drunk soldiers to choke german machine guns, see countless convoys to Murmansk.
