Well i had a different experience - spoke to the promoter of the show straight after they came off stage, he said he'd ask Jake if we could meet him and the band, Jake let us come backstage, signed posters, took photos, chatted for 5 minutes and was an absolute legend. This was in 2006. The only rider demands they have are for beer and some decent food.

Also, Jake regularly chats with fans on the SLF Forum about all sorts from guitars to football, the most down to earth "rockstar" around.

sidekickdaz - sounds like you've had a different experience to a lot of people I know! Maybe he's come a down to earth a bit since the 90s. I know that my mates' band were treated pretty obnoxiously by them including Jake a few years back, and I've heard quite a few similar stories. There's plenty of bands behave like this but it then annoys me when he sings lyrics like this.

As for the rider, the "fluffy towels" stories are legendary. More evidence for the prosecution to follow soon!!!

I am 17 and got into their 1st new zealand show :). Just use an ID that sort of looks like you and is over 18. The bouncers respect the fact that you would really like to see them and just let you in with someone elses id anyway.
