  • looking good Franko!

are u using a gas prop?

    ..try a 6S and a 7x5e bro...really...that the golden setup bro..

    cool man flys awesome indeed

  • @jacquesone100 This is the set up I am putting on a wing using the H.K.90-100 amp ESC what programing do you recommend? Thanks for any help

  • @MyPlumcrazy becarefull with those hk90 esc's ...the could just go up in smoke doing nothing :S i thinku have to set it to high in this case ...but im not sure...ask Frank, im sure he knows!

    good luck

  • @MyPlumcrazy set timing at 30 degrees and PWM at 16KHz

  • @rcFoamFighters Thanks for the info and all the testing and time spent to help others.........

  • @jacquesone100 yes I'm using a gas prop, they seem to flex less with these high power setups. Would like to try 6s but have two problem. First would be getting it to fit in the plane as it was a squeeze getting the 5s in. Second is the extra weight may be too much. This plane only has a 28in (711mm) wing span. 6s would probably bring it to 3lb. May have to build a bigger plane, lol!

  • @rcFoamFighters yeah a gas prop hehe...they sound diffrent...the sound reminded me of my perigrine with the neu engine freaking loud...to bad u cant fit 6s ...

    later Franko...

    J

  • cant beleived you can put a 5s insine,OR you dont tell us every ting about the transformation because when a buy the pdf a zippy 4s 2200mah fit very tight inside the original desine

  • @garfl911 This is not the foam board version of the Bullet Plane. This EPP version of the plane was built long before the plans for the foam board version came out. If you look closely at the two planes you will see they are a little different. Please click the video play list in the video information bar below the video to see the original build videos and test flights on 3 and 4 cells. I'll show the battery in the plane in the next video

  • Try a 6x6 and use a 6s lipo pack.

  • @vmat377 I tried a 5X5 and it was pulling over 70 amps I think a 6X6 would cook it but you never know . I would save that setup for a cold day just to be safe

  • Bullet plane vs. Super Nova Dogfight

  • I have a setup that you might like. Try an apc 4.75X5.5 (no that isn't a typo) on a 6s my bench test and numbers say in the range of 170 mph and 60oz thrust but I think it will go faster and still under 70 amps. give it a try and let us know

  • @uggymoo those numbers are close to what I got with mine and man was it fast thanks for the info uggymoo it screams

  • It doesn't seem like almost a year since we last saw you fly the the bullet plane Frank,i look forward to seeing how she goes with the bigger prop on there mate ;-)

  • Nice Job Guys New blood for the bullet cool.

  • That setup has got an insane scream to it. Id really like to see how fast it can go.

I have that motor setup. I havent got mine off the ground. I have really bad torqe roll on take off. Really like the sound of that.

  • @johndog35 just give it 5 or 6 clicks to the right on your aileron trim and it should help counter the torque roll. You can also try mounting the motor with a little side angle like they do with tractor setups. They usually set it 2-3 degrees to the right when the motor is on the front of the plane. So if you try 2-3 degrees to the left on a pusher it should have the same effect. Haven't tried this so it's just an assumption based on logic, lol!

  • Sounds like some real brotherly rivalry. What next? Flight to space? Great plane.

  • Awesome - I wish I could buy coloured tape locally, like what you guys use for your planes.

  • @GordyDownUnder we order ours online at "Tape Brothers", they do ship internationally. You could also do a search for "colored sealing" tape to see if there is any place closer to you that you can order from.

  • Some fast foam, but I think I saw some wood here and there. Kind of hard to tell for sure with all the dark colored tape. Sure looked fast.

  • How fast is it? can you guys buy a radar or a measuring device

  • @LTF85199 we'll be doing some speed clocks on this plane the next time we have it out at Herman Airport.

  • AWESOME VIDEO GUYS!!

  • Wow didn't think that plane could handle that extra weight
