@moralllo the xl has had problems with vacum leaks between the carb and head and doesnt keep a tune very well. Stick with the savage x, tough as nails and goes like a bat out of hell with tons of aftermarket support and decent price i dont see whats wrong with it.

lol funny but not true I havent rolled a savage on tarmac grit sand or anything else for that matter i have driven both flat out on all kinds of terrain the savage takes it the revo is slow over bumpy stuff the savage is four wheel drive and still oversteers with all four wheels spinning the revo understeers like poo hitting a curb i thought it was amazing then drove 1 devastated i thought the savage would be the lesser truck O How I was Wrong even with its saggy tires

really that's strange given I've driven my cousine's savage and his e-revo on 4s full throttle the e-revo turned and well the savvy would flip at half throttle on loose dirt so idk wtf you were driving but it certainly is contrary to about everyone else

ohh and btw the e-revo now as 6s and it still barely flips on a turn and makes it alot quicker then a high cog savvy could

i think the best monster truck you can have is HPI Savage flux,...it goes up to the 100kp/h fast and have the best acceleration. But this is just my opinion ;)

dont get the flux as ur first rc. BAD idea lol. id say go with a good old proven savage or t maxx. there easy to work on and are easy to learn on. alot of people have had a tmaxx. but there so much in the after market you can make em beasts. and a HPI break just as much as a traxxas. just follow the intrusions exactly! breaking in tuning ex... and have a good hobby store to get parts from.

I am NOT a savage fan, but i will say the 5.9 is by far the best of the savage line-up, they made it a little easier to work on and the 5.9 motor is definetly more powerful and faster than the 4.6, you can upgrade the other savages to the 5.9 with the chassis and motor and that might be cheaper than buying a whole new truck

Probs just get the 4.6. It can take loads of abuse and you can just lengthen the chassis if you wish. I also think the engine would gussle loads of fuel for not much more speed.

man i'm getting either the xl or the cen nem 7.7 leaning towards the xl for indestructibility(to a point) 1:18 gave me goosebumps. i have always been a huge savage fan since the 21 they are definitely the toughest trucks out there i think the TVP plays a big part int that i seen a cen nem(also a TVP truck or DVP as cen calls it) for $375 NIB and a XL $425 NIB still leaning towards the XL

when i first got me xl i found it got hot then i read a test drive by Xrc Cars his hsn was at 2 1/2 lsn at flush now i cab drive flat out for 3 tanks and only hit 245f doing high spped runs this engine is hard to tune by sound and smoke i found that i had low in to much but needed it in to do a wheelie and hi speed would be shit if i made richer i thought i needed a larger pipe reviews on net about it but all it was is the tuning mine now at 2 3/4 low nearly flush and it kicks ASS it runs cool!

I personally own a few nitro, i own a Terrier 1/8th truggy, Virus 1/8th buggy, Havoc 1/8th truck, a Baja 5b 1/5th buggy and the Savage XL is the newest addition and i must say it blew me away for durability and usability and it keeps up with my baja very well. All in all the savage is a good buy for beginner or pro alike, i love mine.The only thing is its 400GBP may put some off. i think its worth it. Not many packages include a rotostart and a recharchable reciever pack... 10/10 for this one

get a 4.6. the 5.9 is nice but the stock pipe leaves it starving for fuel in high speeds. the 5.9 stock will have way more power than a 4.6 but a stock 4.6 will smoke a stock 5.9 in speed.

if you want a 5.9 go get an ofna 086 pipe with it so it actually goes as fast as a 4.6

as for the cen gst I can only comment on what ive seen on video -seems slower ,not as nimble.Not to mention parts availability (most hobby shops will have all replacement parts and upgrades for savage in stock.)
