I made a visual kei + goth outfit to wear for my old school's japanese fashion show 2 years ago and the black overshirt was a bit loose too on the sides, which made it look lame and fat. What I did to resolve the problem was I wore the overshirt and I had a friend to fold the shirt on the sides where it was too fat and couldn't be easily seen if sewed, basically on both sides of my body, where my arms came down. She sewed the folded layers together which tightened the shirt :]
