They block your account and they won't tell you why. I 've paid suppliers, my buyers bought item, now they blocke the account and sent all my buyers emails advicing to request a refund. My paypal blocked, ebay blocked. Money's gone to suppliers. I can't refund those who want refund, I can't access sales records to see who bought what, I can't even answer customers' emails. Business dead, I have debts, PayPal holds MY money. Nothing you can do.

All this is for the 'sake of my own security.

"Accidently" getting an Email carbon copy to "The Gang" telling them to "Keep an Eye on This One. They have links to their wesite in their auction. If they do it again, they're outta here."

Last time I fnd the data, inactive PP accounts were outpacing active accounts. No wonder they are (perhaps improperly/illegally) holding everyone's funds.

In 2008, PP made +/- 10 Million per Q on interest from held funds, which as a mere money transmitter, may not be legal. It certainly isnt ethical considering the huge conflict of interest coupled with practically no regulations

this 21 day hold sucks. It reminds me of my amazon selling days well at least they only held the funds for 15 days. The only exception seem to be if you were a power seller which i happen to be on one of my account. But this truly sucks knowing that out of pocket expenses have to come from directly from me and not my paypal funds. I guess i will have to close my offshoot ebay account and just sell on my powerseller account. This truly suck and i hope it bites them in the ass.

Paypal escrow?!!! More like e-SCREW, here is what they did to somebody I know: They do the 21 day holds, (Reason ship time DSR too low 4.4! ) then wait til you have a lot of money built up in there, then double dip your PP account AND your BANK account for bay fees, claiming it was a glitch and they will reimburse your PP account.. Then out of the blue freeze your account for not having good enough credit, He has FICO over 700+ not good enough, Out 7K+ OMFG- UFB! OUCH!!!! DEATH TO PAYPAL!

Yes, the situation is waaaay beyond scandalous at this point. They make up new rulkes and policies, yet no one can even explain what they are, how they function etc. The surprisse attacks on folks' money is going to come back on them in a bad way. Last time I visited the PP forum at ebay it was nearly 100% complaints about unannounced holds and Rolling Reserves.

Another thing I'm not seeing mentioned enough is the DSR requirements.

All you people who are being hit by the 21 day Paypal holds need to start complaining to your lawmakers. This clearly resembles greatly an "escrow service" regardless of however eb-PP try to spin it..

Also, all the numerous glitches' that seem to happen are very suspect. They seem to always be in favor of PP. Does that really seem like how a 'glitch' behaves?.

This outfit needs oversight & regulation. The way to make that happen is to complain, complain, complain to authoritative bodies.

Hello umnotwachindis. Only a matter of time before PP users get fraudulent charges on their accounts. There is no IF to IT. The system is compromised to the core. Not to mention all the other troubles, such as bogus chargebacks, scammers, etc. Folks who scam & game the system LOVE PP. All others are at extreme risk. Compounded further by corrupt & dishonest management, policies and incompetent customer service.
