I use a Singer CG-590 sewing machine. The feed dogs are lowered, I don't use any presser foot nor a hoop, and I do not trace or draw on the fabric first. I mostly use a straight stitch; the length of the stitch is determined by how fast the machine is moving and how quickly I move the fabric. I've been sewing for 8 years.

I met this guy onthe boardwalk in Venice. He is amazing with a solar powered sewing machine built into a wagon! He also has a car battery in case the sun isnt out to run the machine!
Now, his artwork is totally awesome! I have been sewing all my life and I wonder why he doesnt use stabilizer and/or a hoop?
He must have tried both and didnt like either, or he just doesnt know about that stuff yet.
