This interviewer is a TOOL. Why are you chewing gum while you are interviewing you idiot. That couple with his balding head, big nose, and goofy beard make this guy a nominee for clown of year.
it's good he knows that one shouldn't be bound by any fixed patterns because that is when you stop growing, when you'v accepted a reality and don't move on from there. When it come sto us achieveing that wisdom he speaks of though, it will occurr much much sooner than he expects and than most people except

Honesty is hard to come by; particularly from a talent such as Richard. Some of us lived/saw first hand what the filthy jaws of Hollywood fame can do to tender, callow, young lives. I would pay for his autograph and wouldn't care if he gave me a smile, the time of day, or farted in my general direction. Credit goes where it is due. Thanks for playing 'Kurt' "He means we're all through having tons of fun..."
achurch2186 - not sure anyone will understand what you mean by how he (Dreyfuss) truly feels about "everything" but he must be desperate to show up at an autograph show if he didn't want to be there. And it sounds like he didn't. And if he's such a good actor then why can't he at least ACT nice to people who want to meet him and get his autograph? They are paying for his time after all! The joke must have been on alot of people that day.
I was at that show and agree Dreyfuss was obnoxious - shows up over an hour late and did have an attitude. Not very fan-friendly- I actually felt bad for buying his autograph afterwards. Jesus - say f-ing hello to me if I'm going to give you 30.00 for your name scribbled on a picture! These guys are hard up to charge money for a photo with them especially AFTER you've given them 25.00-30.00 for an autograph.
Well, I'd like the idea that the reason he came too late and treated everyone like an ass and then even had you PAY MONEY to get his name scribbled on a picture was for the sole purpose of making you realize how fucking stupid this whole award three-ring circus bullshit is and how much of an idiot you must be to waste your precious time and hard earned money for these things.
Course, that wasn't probably the idea behind it. But anyway, I agree with a lot of things he says anyways.
He's great.....I also believe; being a celebrity FOR THE FAME isn't the right reason for being an actor...I hate Hollywood; lived there 49 yrs and it sucks. Hollywood is about youth not talent. True actors, LOVE THE JOB AND THE WORK, THATS THEIR SUCCESS.
The Hollywood Collector Shows SUCK. The days of "innocent" autograph shows are so long gone and the HCS has been the biggest perpetrator of it. The celebrities are so spoiled nowadays - yeah you can find a few who charge under $20 or will take a pic with you for free but those are so rare. Reb Brown proves my point, totally - who IS he?? A big nobody. I quit going to their shows. While I appreciate the stars, I am not willing to give them cash to show my appreciation.
I wish that more people would take to heart what Dreyfuss said near the end. I say "take to heart" because I know that most people who hear something like that don't want to believe it and will just throw it out as nonsense.
Dreyfuss is a brilliant man. Every time I hear him speak I'm awed by his wisdom & insight. I wish he would run for Senator or something. My wife met him once & he was perfectly friendly & kind. She raved about his charm & wit.
Reb Brown pulled the same crap as Dreyfuss which was hilarious. We saw him charge some gullible fan $25 for his signed photo and then had the gall to ask for another $20 for a picture with him. $45 for Reb Brown? I don't think so. He had nobody at his table, wonder why?
Luckily, 99% of the stars there were classy, friendly, and charged a fair price.
Dreyfuss and Brown, (especially Brown), have much to learn.
While my husband and I had a great time and 99% of the stars were sweet, friendly, and charged a fair price, Richard Dreyfuss was a bit obnoxious. While EVERY other star there would take their photo with you for no charge if you bought their signature for $20-$25, he had the nerve to charge $30 for his signature and he ALSO CHARGED ANOTHER $20 for a photo with him with your camera. So if you had him sign a DVD you brought and you wanted to take your picture using your camera, it cost $50 bucks
His last response was laying out to us how childish the interviewer was for using god as a scapegoat paraphrasing his previous remarks. lol priceless

A typical Jewish mindset. Is there any surprize? Clue: They hate Goyim(European Whites which they've tried to blend in with for centuries).

You must be retarded. Jews run Hollywood. Also SURPRIZE is spelled SURPRISE.
