  • Megazord would have owns that piece of shit lol

  • Gridman is better.

  • loved the toys for this show. but after watching the intro after all these years, i cant say why i liked the show.

  • Holy shit I remember this show it was awesome

  • What's funny is that this show is just as BAD as the powerrangers and ultraman... i see no difference...

  • @indomitusEvehementis

No, Power rangers had at least some effort into it. This was half-assed. And wait until you see Great or Powered. Both really aren't that great ,forgive the pun.

Point is ,the things we saw in the US in the nineties ,even today are watered down or altered from the originals ,sometimes for the violent /provocative content ,maybe even rip the story away. All pretty much came from Japan and actually they are pretty interesting to look at. a production perspective .

  • @BigDogLtd

From the original to the adaptation/dub, a ton of things take place where its made to be up the FCC code of censorship. Like taking anything out of a fictional Tv program will prevent violence or death. It's just a scapegoat the older generation ,which reveled in RACIST/OFFENSIVE and highly violent media themselves uses so they can do what the parents should be doing all along.

Take a look at the shows which spawned these programs. They might be to your liking.

  • Oh my. I actually vaguely remember this. I don't remember liking it, but I remember watching it because nothing else was on TV.

  • ahhh memories...

  • Oh, Tim Curry. You slay me.

  • @Nightblade: I thought he was Ultraman too

  • for awhile I thought Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad was original. (meaning american made). But its actually re-acted from Gridman.

  • Tim Curry

  • hahahahaha i totally remember this now....yeah it sucked

  • this is mid 90's. obviously you were born late

  • is it me or does this look like an ultraman rip off

  • @NightBladeSpearichu Actually the original Japanese series was called Gridman and it was made by the same guy who did Ultraman.

  • @Xephon0930 well that would explain why servo sorta looks like an ultraman

  • sounds like a show from the 80s

  • Tim Curry, hell of a man, hell of a resume: Dr frankenferter, Voice of a villain on cyber squad, villian in scary movie 2, additional voice in power rangers, etc etc etc

  • @AtticusRh0des still a hell of a lot better than Matthew Lawrence's resume.

Kid show with copped Japanese footage...Boy Meets World...failed TV show with Joey Lawrence and little brother...disney movie with Joey Lawrence and little brother...another disney movie with Joey Lawerence and brother...

  • @AtticusRh0des yeah wasn't he IT (pennywise the clown) too! That shit gives my younger cousin nightmares, so i posted a huge IT clown picture on his computer and wrote in quotes "I'm coming for you!!!"

hahaha it made me laugh a lot...haha shit, im laughing about it right now!

  • Hell yeah! I've been searching for this shit for forever!!!

  • This was the SHIIT when I was four!!

Why can't t.v. just stay good and cheap like the good ol' days?

  • this is what i used to watch before they started puting this live action stuff on tv our kids will never kno what cartoon really were

  • I remember this show, I think the only reason I watched this show was because of Matthew Lawerance I was in love with his brother Joey Lawerance around this time.

  • agent smith ftw...these virus mean nothing

  • at 0:40 do i hear "they're gonna F it up"?!

  • @optimine yep. probably not what they wanted in the song, but true to form. them kids did F shit up behind the wheel of those vehicles.

  • @optimine No, it's "they're gonna Amp it up". And that's when they show the character named Amp.

  • @DevilMaster ah..thanks :)

  • yeah i love this show...always watch it...there should be a movie about this legend hero

  • Tim Curry. Yes folks. You read correctly. Tim Curry does the voice of the bad guy in this.

  • his character's name is malcolm i think

  • @SBaby Not just that, but you also get Gary Owens in the opening narration.

  • samurai ???!!

  • this show brings back alot of memories.

  • man this was the shit back in the day i remember getting up a about 7 am to watch it before going to school

  • why didn't they call it ultraman?

  • Because this WASN'T base off Ultraman it is based off of a toku called Gridman.

  • @Peniche5 WHICH is a part of the ultraman universe, including a team up movie with ultraman himself.

  • copyright...

  • Is samurised even a word?

  • Say what you will about the show, the toys were awesome.

  • Wow! Troy Slaten really took a step down. From Parker Lewis Can't Lose to this mediocrity.

I thought the toys were cool. I bought the 2 deluxe toys and one of the clone figures, but never opened them. Sold them on eBay years ago.

  • Any one have the Japanese version of this.

  • ya i use to have the armor for this guy and it pissed me off cause i couldnt even use it

  • Bahah i remember this show, infact, i have an action figure of the superhuman samuri!! its soo jokes!!

  • Oh my god. How did crap like this ever exist?

  • They rip off good japanese actions shows that's how.

  • i remember this show when i was younger.

  • COOL!!

  • Why do all the 90s American toku show themes all sound the same like they try to tell the entire story in song and it seems like all the songs are by the same person.

  • MAYBE TO ENTERTAIN PEOPLE!!!

  • omg omg...I FOUND IT!!!! YAY This is the show i've been looking for...it's been a loong time. i love this show!!

  • I used to like this LOL

    Ultraman Rip Off

    Hardcore lol

  • I remember this shit... So good.

  • yo madkidd, you rule.

i forgot all about this show.

  • AHA i was looking for this. i did a google search of "joey lawrence ultraman" i knew i'd find this show.

  • syber....really....wtf?

  • LIKE CYBER BUT WITH SOMETHING ELSE!!

  • i 4got all about this....... it was ok as a kid

  • I agree. I can't believe I used to watch this show too. I mean I guess it was better when I was a kid. But I do not think I could watch any more cheese.

  • wow i cant believe i used to watch this

  • I thought it was great!

  • i had whached this whin i was a kid. also for you guy who think its a rip off. you suck!

  • you guys suck.

  • Oh my God, I grew up watching this! Even though it was cool it was a rip-off of Power Rangers!

  • i dont remember this show.

  • This brings back so many memories. I used to watch this in the morning before I went to school. They played it back to back at 7 am. That was my excuse to get up early in the morning, lol.

  • Same here! Wow, I remember almost missing the school bus LMAO.

  • wow, i thought i would never come across this series ever agian

  • I actually thought this was a pretty cool series. Not so bad for an American adaptation of a Tokusatsu series. Actually I enjoyed this more than Power Rangers, which had many plotholes and errors sometimes when Japanese scenes were spliced in with American footage.

  • I like "gridman" better...why the name change from gridman to super samurai makes little to no scence at all...

  • And I'm not really just trying to defend this show, but saying that both sides need to give it a rest, because in reality, both these shows are a rip off of old jap shows. So both are guilty of being "bad" in their own sense. If SHSSS is bad, then so is PR, and goes for vise versa. That's my verdict...

  • I mean I started off with watching this show and not power rangers, and I didn't like power rangers even though I did try watching it. But you don't see me bitching about Power Rangers, now do you?

  • To people who say this show sucked, stop bitching. Seriously. The only reason you say it does, is because you all started of with power rangers, thus dismissing this show as being "bad".

  • This show really disappointed me because they denied Matthew Lawrence to shine musically. This made me switch right back over to Jeopardy!

  • HAHA finally i found a clip of this show! this show was better than the japanese counterpart haha toys were better than transformers

  • does n e one know if there are n e episodes available

  • Oh my gosh, I totally forgot that watched this show as a kid! Ah, the memories...

  • I was obsessed with this show when I was little. Thanks!

  • Whoever participated in the creation of this disgrace, truely sold their soul to the devil...

  • Am I the only one who found it cool that Tim Curry played the voices of Bad Guys. He was the bad guy in this show and He was SKULLMASTER on Mighty Max! Both of those shows were awesome.

  • Let's kick some giga butt!

  • Which part of this entire series has anything to do with Samurai? Super-human Samurai Syber Squad...I mean...where's the samurai..ness?

  • I liked this show

  • I saw this when I was like 4.Did it end or was it cancled? Also, was it made by Tsubuya studios or whatever the name of the company that made Ultraman?

  • I remember this when I was a kid...lol xD yay?! xD

  • dude, my kid self wouldn't even watch this and he watched power rangers for god's sake...

  • I'd never thought I'd see anything from this show ever again. Thanks. :)

  • Haha i've been looking for something related to this for a while now. "Lets Samuraize guys!" ahh, so corny.

  • cool show i watched this and power rangers

  • giga butt... that is funny though

  • i remember now! it`s on channel 7 then on it`s sister network,citynet 27.

  • I don't think so. The ranger series were originally produced by Toei, while Gridman was produced by Tsuburaya Productions, the same company that created Ultraman (Hense why they look so similar). So technically this show isn't really a rip-off as much as it is a spin-off. (And a damned cool one at that.) This show was one of my favs as a kid. It also made me want to watch Ultraman when that came around.

  • the only thing i like abt this show is the Gridman combining to form the robot... this is where MMPR's Thunder Megazord concept came from...

  • This followed Rush Limbaugh on my local WB affiliate before it was moved to WGN to follow Geraldo.

I do remember being a little more loyal to this than USA's "Tatooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills" whenever "Power Rangers" was in reruns, and the show was probably the darkest of all such shows at the time, but did it have a talking dog? No. VR Troopers wins.

  • it was a good show

  • i remember this wow i feel old i saw this wen i was wow 2-4 1/2 wow its really cheesey o well

  • i hated this show...it was so corny

  • I remember watching at least 2 episodes of this series.

  • yea.... just like ultraman. lol wow...

  • Sorry man. this is the only non Ultra like being that I like. He's almost like Ultraman. Unfortunitly he's another giant hero like Inframan, Spectraman, Miroirman, fireman, and Greenman. But, damn. He came close to an Ultraman. I still think he's pretty Awsome. Oh... His real name is, "GRIDMAN".
