hanzabass - The 'toe' reference relates to Okazaki Sensei hoping one day to humbly being able to achieve even the smallest achievement. Of course he has achieved a great deal & worked hard to develop karate (as we all know), so now he is demonstrating his humility.
get a life whoever you are talking about dicks... if you enjoy karate.. good,, then watch and if you wish, make a constructive comment, if you have no comment to make then just keep your crude comments about faggots or dicks in your own head, where, by the sound of it... it very much belongs
I hope that in the near future that the modern-day people will become more respective and disciplined, so most martial artists seek to learn the philosophy and lifestyle of true martial arts.
@snorider The place where this was filmed was Camp Greenlane in Greenlane, PA. Two times a year karate-ka go to participate in the Master Camp (June) and Fall Camp (September). And it really is a beautiful place.
A good way to really study in depth what Sensei Okazaki teach i to buy his book perfection of character which is something every martial artist needs in his library. I love this man so much and karate. I have trained hard for the last two and a half years studying both the physical and spiritual ends of the martial arts. By far over my study Sensei Okazaki is one of the best men i know.
I have the pleasure, this last three days, to spend some time training with Master Okazaki in Italy in Pesaro.
He's a very nice and funny person and he told us many stories about his life and karate.
He even called me to show a technique to the others karateka and we stayed 15 minutes trying to understand the combination…that’s was a really funny moment! I wish I could understand him a little faster!
But Thank you again Master I hope to train with you again! Oss
Please listen carefully to what this man teach you, if you dont understand please listen over and over until you understand the simplicity and greatness of his wisdom.. Its a lesson in life not in violence, martial arts is an art of living, not fighting. Or as the buddhist monks says: you can reach enlightenment by meditation and hard work, karate provides both..
It is amazing how much garbage commentary is on the internet, when people can hide behind a facade and pretend that they know everything every moment of their lives. It is sad that these comments are directed at such an inspiring person. If you all are so interested in how powerful you are then why even take martial arts? Go out and just start street fights day and night and you will get good at fighting..or perhaps not.
Take some time to actually think before you write something please.
I'm reading a lot of hateful comments toward Master Okazaki. I don't understand why. Some people suggest that he is only after money. Yes, it is true that his association does make him some money, but is the man not entitled to earn a living? Does the association not bring much happiness to a lot of people? I've met the man and I'm a pretty good judge of character. I can tell you that he is sincere in his desire to teach karate and the dojo kun. P.S. I am not a member of ANY organization.
typical Japanese perspective. His students were awful, maybe his karate is good but you can judge a teacher by his students. Those blond women were wearing black belts, and they have absolutely no idea. I would love to watch them flounder under pressure from someone who can actually fight. I swear a lot of these Asian "masters" are having a good laugh as they collect their fees from these quai lo.
you're right. people are so fascinated with martial arts through movies they watch, they can't hurry enough to sign up for class when they hear an asian "master" in town! these bozos getting black belts and even few dans over a course of several years. How is it possible to master any form of fighting that quick? You have to be trained your whole life to deserve that title! Put these clowns against a common thug and see if their black belts can prove their worth!
Wonderful message indeed. Unfortunately as we often can see the ego develops real fast in Budo at the cost of developing our moral compass & respect toward fellow human beings. Sadly you will not find a lot of true masters in the West perhaps not even a lot in Japan. Only a handful who teach what they preach.
ah yes, i believe that martial arts is a way to discover your body and your life and the different ways to use these two wonderful tools...
when i'm a old man, and i still have a strong body i will be thankful for studying the external arts, and when my spirit and breathe are still strong i will be thankful for studying the internal arts..
He touched on all the most important values of any true martial art.
Made me really happy, so thanks for uploading.
Great to hear someone not afraid to talk about seeking perfection of personal character. Gotten a bit tired of the MTV approach to budo lately, with 'all ego'.
This was a really nice break from the mindless drone approach.

any one who thinks a certain martial art is weak or useless, has never actually seen a master of the art exicuting it's applications

i'm a kung fu, taiji pracitioner, i believe every martial art has it's strong areas
and we can all learn something from each other as long as we keep a humble open mind.

I earned my 2nd deg. BB in Japanese
(Karate) before I was discharged from the military in 1969. As a Vietnam vet I actually learned something. It is so tragic
to be involved in war and have it steal your life. I started "studying" internal arts
11 yrs ago. I have learned even more. The
joy in that is that I will keep on learning, and I believe sensei has learned that as well, don't you?
