I know the owner of that gun i know the gun and what's in that gun. Just like i know that the bolt is not bought it's milled by hand, and the body is custom and everything else is custom. That gun is made from scratch. As is that hopper. As is the tank. The gun can shoot over 47 BPS i have seen it in action. So you don't know that gun, at speeds like that maybe the gun hiccuped and one paintball came flying out at 180fps and the one after at 300fps

Even with the exact situation you said of the guns velocity jumping the paintballs still couldn't hit eachother and if that gun is shooting +/- 120 fps then its a piece of shit aswell.

The reg can't keep up sometimes. And the hopper isn't a regular empire B2 either. Every thing that hooks up to that gun is make by this guy he fiber wrapped that tank himself. That B2 holds around 220-250 paintballs. It involves a modifies floor and a widened shell.

i belive that was a break outside the barrel so it would have little effect on the guns ability to "keep up"...at most it would tweak the guns accuracy a little because of the paint on the tip of the barrel..but i dont think it would "slow the gun down"

Trust me its not worth upping an Ion that much. I had my ion upped with lucky stage 5 kit ( original ) and eveyrthing. Nothing was stock on it. But the money i spent upping it i could have bought my ego. There's a few ups worth to get on the ion like trigger,feedneck, reg and maybe body. But putting to much into it is futile. It wont ever shoot like a DM or Ego

I agree but if you can upgrade it for cheap its worth it. I bought an Ion max'd new for $100. Got a 360 QEV, trigger, Ape Rampage board, Evo 3 and firebolt for $110. Total 210 bucks. totally worth it. I'm a weekend player for fun... maybe some small 3 man tourney's, nothing big and my Ion does what I need it to do. I also didn't spend $600 in upgrades like some do (have a connection for cheap new parts). I agree there are better guns but Ions are not total shit...
