  • is this a good way when using AVCHD to --> apple prores 422 hq?

In other words is this best way to remain HD quality?

  • Out of all the blogs I read none of them told me to do both formats inside of 90 minute high quality. I was only doing one and wondering what happened to my audio.. . you are a life saver

  • Awesome tutorial !!! thank you so much for sharing.

  • A VERY GOOD LESSON A C BE DEMILLE PRODUCTION BUT IS THERE AN SHORT CUT, AN ACE LESSON IT IS UNTIL CB

  • Fantastic video. Great music. But this seems very complex just to produce a DVD. Isn't there an easier way?

  • @Andesite1 u can use idvd and imovie

  • Thanks a lot, it is a great tutorial!

  • This is the best tutorial I've seen, dynamic and useful

    thanks a lot!

  • Great music! what's it call?

  • I was on my second day freelancing at a new ad agency and never used dvd studio pro before - pulling my hair out. Then I found this little gem of a youtube clip - even the music was perfect, up beat and calming for a heated moment, no guy with an aweful accent confusing you - I just knew it was going to all work out. You're an absolute life saver and if you make more clips like this are going to get tons of views - thanks!

  • so refreshing not to have to listen to all these people that like the sound of their own voice. direct and to the point. i learnt more from the three and a half minutes of this video than i have done from all the videos and tutorials i've just spent the last hour trawling through. thank you.

  • Thanks Daniel! Straight to the point without the blah blah blah. 10/10

  • do you have any tutorials of how to export 3CCD DV NTSC 640x480 quality skate videos? i work with a vx 1000 and im still trying to figure out the best export quality possible...message me if you can help me out.

  • @yellowman i have a vx1000 too. go to export to quicktime conversion, then settings, compression h.264, quality, best, size, 720x480 4:3 (ntsc)

  • Wow. I didn't think this would work because nothing ever works for me. This was extremely helpful. Thank you!

  • Best tutorial I've seen. Visual, no nonsense and easy to understand. Very helpful indeed.

    Thanks.

  • Found your tutorial very useful. Its one of the most frequent asked questions within Final cut to DVD studio pro "how to export & put it onto a dvd" so thank you.

  • Well done! I love your approach to doing video tutorials. I have a question. Is the process different if your video is HD 1080i. I use a Sony HDR-FX1 and film in the HDV setting -which I believe is 1080i when Imported into FCP. Does anyone know the answer to this?

  • Wonderful, thank you so much!! I love the music too - very stress-reducing :-)

  • Easy to follow. Great video. Well done.

  • Thanks! Great video!

  • thanks.

  • THANK YOU SOO MUCH! SHORT AND TO THE POINT!

and the music made me feel like i was a baker

  • Thank you so much! short to the point I really appreciate it!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!

  • Hey brother, that was honestly INCREDIBLY helpful!!! Keep making videos like this brother.. And I actually like the odd french music... Very relaxing and it kept me from getting frustrated. Just if you're gonna change it, for the love of god, please don't make it heavy metal... PLEASE!!

  • Very good work...keep it up!

  • Now THIS is how a tutorial should be made! Bravo!

  • Thank you verrrrrry much!!! Apple's software is awsome...

  • Perhaps you can help me:

After I'm done choosing the setting on Compressor, I can't submit it! i click "submit" and is not highlighted and of course, it wont go true. What am I doing wrong?

The file Is an .avi format movie and is a little over 21/2 hrs long.

What i'm trying to do is convert the format to Mpeg-2 from .avi and then burn it to a dvd.

I would appreciate your time and help! Thanks :)

  • Thanks Ferguda for your tutorial video, A LOT OF STEPS to make a simple DVD, but very helpful.

You wont believe the time I have wasted trying to burn my edited video from Final Cut to DVD (Directly) is just an enormous bitch of a problem!

So many F***G tools on Final Cut Pro and there is NO ONE TOOL to send or burn your edited video directly into a patchable (regular) DVD!

  • As a professional who doesn't have time to wade through manual after manual, THANK YOU FOR THIS VIEDO! I just got Final Cut because I was a Premiere user at heart. FC seemed to be a better fit right now so when I brought my project from Premiere, I need a way to author from FC quickly. This video helped me produce what I needed in minutes rahter than hours! Versions may change but I got the concept from you!

  • to long somewhat boring. nothing I don't already know

  • thanks so much!

  • Man!!! Tanks a lot

  • Very very helpful!

  • thank you...more please!

  • That's what I call a professional way to make tech stuff easy .

this is better than the commercial tutorials out there!

    thanx

  • THANKS YOU ARE GREAT!!!

  • As a K12 computer teacher and trainer - I have to say this has to be the most unique, fun, and concise way to present technical info. It will, however, take a few retakes for me to grasp everything. Thanks and keep up the great work!

  • Yer your right i follwed it and paused it through the steps its helped me out the shit so thanks ferguda !

  • Brilliant! Love the music too - reminds me of Morris dancers dancing round the maypole.

  • I'm totally crying. This video makes it look so easy. I wasted 2 hours trying to follow my teacher's instructions unsuccessfully, and this video explains all I need to know in less than 4 minutes. I love you, ferguda!!!! =D

  • thx for the video man it helps me a lot

  • Hi i have clip but its only like 25 minutes long but when i try to compress it says it will take 4 hours is this correct?

  • I found this extremely helpful! Thanks so much.

  • Thanks for the guide but what about PAL users? The format is NTSC. Thanks

  • OMG THANKS.

  • Thanks for the tutorial. It was helpful but what about the quality settings? Would be very helpful.

  • Like the video a lot, super helpful.

    Thanks!

  • This was such a tremendous help, I have it as a favorite!

  • Thanks for the video!

  • Experimental video done quickly...thanks for your critique

  • The music is distracting... Y not use a voice over instead?? It's hard to read directions and follow the arrow at the same time..

  • I agree with you STRIKEOUT004
