On the Korean produced CD "Jumping into the World BoA Don't start now" she sings three songs in Mandarin. It definitely sounds like she is just pronouncing phonetically, but having seen her improve drasticaly in Japanese and English, she probably could learn Mandarin if she had the time. Cantonese, I am not so sure!! (it's a challenge for anyone)
