Pretty good guys........Tell me, wheather you used Vegas Pro or another editing format, what setting did you use to get that, "film look?"........There is a great two scenes at the end of part one with the house in the back ground.....tks....TC
@torchidman Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. We actually used a program called Corel Video Studio X2, not a well known program which is a shame because I think it is one of a best. The film's filters were added in post production using Adobe After Effects.

Horror-movie, huh? Description: "The story is about three teenagers..." Oh, that one. Seen it. It's the one where there's nudity and they all get killed one by one, right? ...and it's not as much horror, as there is gruesomeness? ...but one survives in the end, to make a sequel? ...because the killer somehow survives too? Wasn't it called something like... ..."Friday The 13: th - Part 1"?
@2hakkabakka Bull shit! The film does follow three teenagers but there is no nudity and watch the whole film before you start predicting the end! It is not how you said!
The film is a great idea, and see where your coming from with a million dollar budget (which you didn't have). Even though you didn't have tonnes of money it came out good in the end. I bet you had to take the actors free time into consideration because looking at the age they still had school. This film is a good film and I think you have a lot of potential in the future, This part gets a 7/10. Now i'm off to see the rest:D
Thank you for the comment, you definitely see where we were going with this film. We are currently finishing up our latest production so I recommend checking out our other videos for that or subscribe.
Opening cue should have been thematic, not just sounds. What the hell was the composer thinking when they were fighting? That 'cue' didn't work at all! The movie though, is not bad. At 5:44, The composer starts a good idea. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. It may have worked for a western or for some 'idyllic scene'. Underscoring can really ruin a movie. The example is here.
Unfortunately this is an independent movie and I can't be fussy over things like that. I believe he did a great job with music and at the premiere and other screening many people commented on the quality of his scoring.
I think that you have the right to be "fussy over that". After all, YOU'RE the director. Well, I'm glad that it went well at the premier, but I know for a fact, that a 'good score' would have taken it to the 'next level'. As a composer, I'm very picky as far as how a score should sound (using real samples instead of cheap keyboard sounds, etc.,). Anyway, just my comments. Good luck in future endeavors.
He very kindly did it for free, if this was a million dollar budget a lot of things would be better and different in this movie so I try to be as picky as I can with the position of the director but with an independent film made by somebody of my age there is certainly a limit!
Sweet. Loved the lighting in front of the shed. Audio editing was a bit weak at spots but nothing terrible. Overall the timing, camera shots and story were well played. Part 1 = 4.5 stars rounded up to 5!
no, actually it should say "Serial killer found out to HAVE killed six people, and then buried them in a rented house garden" (not "OF") grammar! ;) But great job with the film though. Good story. Once again awesome job!
Nice =) Wil watch the other parts when i have time. If i was to suggest an improvement, i would say the sound seems a bit 'off' sometimes. You can hear the wind a lot sometimes.
pretty cool

@d2axe7 *watches 30 seconds of the movie.* Oh, look! It even features a serial killer! ...with an axe! Original!

@2hakkabakka Well yeah what was he gonna do, use an M60? They're kids lmfao
d2axe7 1 year ago
@d2axe7 Yes. Yes, he SHOULD use an M60, because that would make this movie original, and not just Friday The 13th Part 342.

You can still get a 'killer' deal (no pun intended), with someone doing a 'free' score. Just ask!

I must say that the writing for this film is compltely unoriginal, but the directing was good.
Overall 5/10

"...to of killed six people..." Doesn't make sence. Think you have a typo there
ranger7theseries 2 years ago
Not the people he killed in the film people the spirit of the killer killed, If that makes sense

It does make sense, i think you are interpreting it wrong.
