@djteknovibe Have you seen it's real specs allready? He's made the FastFord cover this month as being a true one-off build , with truely an imaculate piece of tuning-art...

Your first comment on beating this turbo'ed fiesta with an s3 on lvl1-tuning is coming back hard at you! ;-) ..you probably wouldn't even come close!

With the HG being mapped on 1.3 bar and a poweroutput way over the 300bhp-mark this eats tarmac like mad!

@FlyinFreek I'm not really sure how much he spend, but reading the FastFord magazine, looking at the parts ...it's probably way more then 20k ...

It's a true one-off engine-build etc and actually , like stated in the mag , the one Ford should have build...

@djteknovibe oh yeah , let me give you some good tips before you give an older car good power-upgrades...

Take it to an official garage, let them know about your plans etc and be sure they'll look into every aspect of the drivetrain/suspension etc..so you'll be safe knowing you are ok , even when you 'think' it is.

And another tip ..add some rims/tires aswell as a sport-brakeset and you'll have some nice tuning with good finishing touches ;-)

@djteknovibe indeed , i know..it's about the same a decent 190bhp pumaspeed package will cost for the fiesta. But ok , it's everybody's choice offcourse.

I meant with the 10K..i would put in in an older car like that..i would probably go way further then you would . I'm a show-attender with my cars , going to very high-levels. But i 've been there aswell , like you i started out with an older car..and i do respect that aslong as you take care for it and don't stupid things on the streets ;-)

@djteknovibe i meant less expensive , with decent tuning...i'm not the kind of person buying an old car for 4k and run it like that to be honest..i didn't know you were talking about that .An mk1 s3 secondhand will need some looking after, even if the owner took good care of it. That atleast is if you're talking about 'tuning' a car.. and actually i was thinking about a +-10k for a decent tuned up and restaured mk1 s3 to be honest ...sry for that

@djteknovibe lol , it's true though those are now cheaper , but then again also older (mintcondition?!) . It would need it complete suspension-overhaul to catch a fiesta on the tracks , since those stock s3's are pretty bad .

A years ago our Fordclub sold 3 ST's with around 40.000km , one even only had 9000km ..pricetag : 7500€ and 9000€ for the latter one . I guess they are cheaper overhere (belgium) and you can found one now for 5k with low milage

@djteknovibe an mk1 s3 is a 1.8 turbo ...with only 210 bhp...a normal aspirated fiesta st (2.0i) can go with an airbow, exhaustline and a decent chip allready up to 190bhp is is way less expensive aswell as more leightweight , does have decent steeringracks and well placed pedals . that will probably allready get close to the s3 in beating on the track...set it up with a cosworth cam and driveshaft , a turbo and yebye s3 !

Mk1 s3 feels sluggish , has bad steeringracks and a poor gearbox...far from a raw experience like this fiesta is.

But you just stick to your 'badge' ..i'll take that nice little fiesta anytime...even if i loose , it's all about the experience .

Then again i don't think it would loose on the tracks , no i'm certain it won't .

It's like compairing a true rally/track-based car to a luxurious sofa on 4 wheels which weighs too much
