You want us to give up pursuing the subjects we love and want to inform the community about because you went to university so long ago and don't know what you're talking about? Well, I have news for you. We all want and should have a university level education and really, if you think all this bureaucratic nonsense is going to stop us, then you have a thing or two to learn yourselves.
Sincerely, a devoted student in pursuit of knowledge.
I'm a philosophy student at CSU Stanislaus and I'm in the honors program. Just stopping by to say a big hello to all those who think we students should go join the army or work cheap labor because obviously, we're painfully stupid and unworthy of higher education. You don't think all these remedial students, whom you claim make up most of Stan State, could possibly be the fault of the California education system? (continued in next post)
Those who are prepared for college level courses should be allowed to attend college. The vast majority of CSU Stanislaus students only pass courses because of grade inflation. My fiance is a manager and she currently supervises CSU Stanislaus graduates many of which cannot even construct coherent paragraphs. It simply doesn't make sense that they come in remedial with low SATs and overinflated high school grades and graduate college.
These students simply want to mooch off the government!
Another important point is that in-person friendships and alliances from one's college last a lifetime and will continue to help you in your career path. The administration doesn't like the face-to-face connections because of the vitality of the relationships and the likelihood that students will organize and resist the administration's shady practices.
I hope viewers will understand that this is NOT the only perspective here at CSU-Stanislaus. There is a lot more to the story... Keep in mind this video presents only one (biased) point of view.
I guess you're free to allege bias, but given the agreement of *91%* of the faculty and a fair number of students and staff, maybe you should acknowledge that the bias does indeed have some substance. I'd be very happy to provide lots of warrants for the statements made in this documentary - care to listen?
Well the school should be saved but many students there are undeserving of an education. The majority of incoming freshman at CSU stan are remedial. This silly university needs to be aligned with the economy. I read the commencement and csu stan graduated a few hundred teachers. There is no demand for teachers in this economy.
I suggest reading Bill Murrays "A Real Education". Also look into how much $ for profit schools such from the federal pot. Get rid of UOP =more$.

You guys are mooching off the taxes of the middle class for you lives.
We need to see these kids joining the Army to get the GI Bill for college.
You've mooched off the taxpayers for a fat paycheck, retirement and tenure for too long.
Most of those students are at about 7th grade level education.
Gibberish.
Balderdash.
Socialism.
Time to disband the welfare state.
