  • The bouncy tanks are cool! :D

  • why would someone call mission day-day...

  • reason for mass deeaths on Omaha was simply that a few MG34s were on top of the cliffs and they firee at 1000 bullets a minute.

doesnt take much imagination to think of one man kittling hundred sof amaericans.

  • @brssgirl Correct.

  • lol at rubber sherman tank

  • So wrong, Adolf Hitler and Rommel believed that Normandy was the target, only Rundstedt and the general staff were thinking of Calais.

  • DEUTSCHLAND!

  • I was able to go to Normandy this past June and I was there at that battery. You can take a tour of it and go through all those bunkers and things.

  • heys It's richard hammond

  • the fake tanks are very realistic.

  • i find this to be a boring doc. the subject is interesting but the production is too stretched out or something. its like it's not filler but its not meaty either. Timewatch's productions vary in quality IMO.

  • @MisterBouncyBounce hehe what's the matter not enough action scenes, your not into strategy:))))

  • no its just that i understand quality, filler doesn't qualify as quality.

  • Wow, those blow-up tanks was brilliant. I wonder if any of them still exist. Would be cool to have in the garden..

  • He does not think 155mm can reach a position 7 miles distance. Well I disagree. But, how do they know these guns were even there on June 6th.

  • I also disagree. A 155mm gun could fire a shell over 13km - eight miles.

  • Could be a matter of wind and terrain. The guns might have had to use different angles to land at a specific point, to compensate for any wind( I there was a consitant strong inward wind form the beach) , or to clear any objects between the guns and their target.

I don't know for sure, i'm just throwing it out there.

  • I think it would take a pretty severe gale to do that!! Although I do not know as I have had zero artillery training!

  • Depends on air thickness, charge and type of gun.

  • Thnx man!

  • BRILIANT !!!

  • LMFAO "A guy called Hitler got a guy called Rommel to take charge of the Normandy defenses" hahahahahah genius

  • Yeah i noticed that also. A guy called Hitler.. hmm..

  • Yes I hope I never see that guy again!

  • Isn't he the same guy in the musical the Directors?

  • you mean "The Producers." If so he plays Rudolf Höss lol

  • That's the one yes.

Ah, the Fuehrer, there was a painter... he could do an entire apartment in one afternoon .... two coats!!

  • Two coats. My word that impressive! Most be that lovely amphetamine hobby of his.

  • In fact I think from about 1941 onwards, Hitler took 26 pills per day!

  • @alanheath that's is VERY funny. I'm gonna have to steal that.

  • @GlenDanzig It is from the film the Producers which I know you will enjoy - some good songs to sing to - Springtime for Hitler for example. You can find some here on YT if they have not been lifted.

BTW good name - I live part of the time in Gdańsk.

  • @alanheath Springtime for Hitler and Ger-man-y, Deutschland has done it again.
