Smart man. Black was seen as oppresion regardless of your skintone. White was seen as success. For the Black man and Black woman, it was not about love to make a decision to cross over, it was about getting ahead, staying ahead & survival. Be with who you want because you want to. Not to be accepted or using a race card to stay on top. That is using people which is no better that what took place in history with Blacks, Indians, Jews or poor whites.

Some of the black ppl I've met over the years, tell me about visiting family in USA - how a lot of the cities there the racial tension is very high... you can be in the 'wrong part of town' because of your skin color etc. Is Canada really less racially tense or is it just in our minds? If it is in our minds, maybe it actually works - we believe it to be more harmoneous between all peoples, and thus to some extent it is.

@unveilonlyfacts Negro is spanish it means black, so would be so called black same thing. TV show "Chico and the man" about young adult Spanish guy and old white man, in Spanish Chico means boy. Lone Ranger and Tonto, in Spanish Tonto means stupid although they pronounce it differently Tanto I think it was. Superman from EL family in Hebrew EL means god.
