If this "Detention" show was a live action program like "Saved By The Bell", it would have been much more enjoyable. I always thought the cartoon was an eyesore, a bit too Andy Warhol-ish I could tell when it came to its color scheme. Another thing too, I am employed as a security guard and I got teased, saying that in my uniform, I looked just like the Detention lady in this show. She does look like me in a way. Plus, Kathleen Freeman was also a lesbian too in real life.

Shame how Detention didn't last very long b/c of the fact that most people preferred the far-superior (in critics minds) "Recess" over "Detention."

IMO, I liked "Detention" as much as I liked "Recess." I also got a kick out of the fact that the person that does the voice of the headmistress is none other than Charlotte Rae, a.k.a. Mrs. Garett from "The Facts of Life."

I didn't realize it was Tara Strong who did Shareena's voice. She did a good job; for a goth-styled character Tara gave her a cute voice.
