Thats amazing :D reminds me of my love for this guy. we finallyended up dating and it wasn't as I thought it would be but we dated for 6 months and now he says hes abandoning love because of how he broke my heart since we broke up in december and he says to no longer contact him ever again its for for my own good. @sugarhigh1236 I'm not familiar with the poet you're talking about. I used to enjoy watching Def Poetry on cable, but other than that, the only poetry I'm really exposed to is in Christmas and birthday cards. This poem came to me by surprise. I was not looking to write a poem, nor had I been regurlarly writing poetry before I wrote this one. I can't explain it. I just feel this poem wanted to be written, and I was just it's tool.

this is more artistic prose than poetry in the way it's composed. maybe free verse? yes, it's a bit self-absorbed, and way less than original, but the emotion shows through. very real.

Dude Ive been through that last month. I was inlove with this girl after I got to know her 4 years ago, she always thinks of me as a brother to her too. All I want for her is to be happy no matter what. I ended our friend ship cuz she told me she had a boyfriend, I only did it for me cuz I dont want to be hurt over it anymore. Few days after that I had some dreams about her and I was so happy to be with her. Waking up made me sad cuz it wasnt real.

My heart was broken cuz I never had a girlfriend and the girl I liked told me shes shallow and she had sex with who she hasnt seen him for a year

I write poetry, too, but not the kind that rhyme. I write the kind with really meaningful words. I thought the kind that rhymed belonged on cards and were for ameteures. But now that i read this, i have a totally different view. Although i still don't write rhymed poetry, I no longer think of it as stupid. This poem was really nice. ^^
